Last Year's Blog: yearbook
Yearbook '06
12/29/05 Update
This year's yearbook will be a completely different experience. Not only is it a new year, but it's a new Yearbook. This year, the following changes are going into place:
- You may not submit existing posts on MindSay. You must come up with new material to submit to Yearbook. We're using the honor system here, but if you use existing content, you will be disqualified.
- Judges are Anonymous. Nobody but Yearbook will know who the judges are. Also, your entries will have no user names associated with them. You will be judged solely on your work.
Along with these new changes, there will be different categories and subcategories to submit to. You may submit only 1 work per category. Also, each category will have its own rules and guidelines which will be posted at the time of the request for your submissions. More specifics on what we'll need from you, the MindSay community will be coming along soon as well.
Here's a taste of what we'll be looking for in the next week from you guys (A full submission schedule will be posted shortly):
50 word essay.
Photography
Haiku
Non Fiction
Fiction
Limericks
Poem
Political Rants
Religion
Current Events
And the huge surprise that everyone has been buzzing about is that once everything has been judged and winners have been selected, we will be taking the finalist and winner entries and turning them into an actual Book. You'll be able to pick up your MindSay Yearbook then send it to your friends to sign!!! How cool is that???
Bookmark this page everyone, put the word "Yearbook" in your profiles, and keep an eye on Yearbook06 for updated news.

Oh yeah, and can you do more then one entry, meaning can I submit for religion and current events----and whatnot.
Do you just do it on your email, add your mindsay username or blog it 'for self only'? and save that? Um, sorry for all the questions just want to have all the rules down right, this is so cool. It's gonna rock MUCH harder then the best of awards!

Hey, thanks for the interest! Unfortunately this round, we won't be having religion or current events-although this might change because I've been asked about it by several people. Your submissions should be emailed to msyearbook@gmail.com along with your user name. Anything you submit shouldn't be posted to your blog so the judging and voting will be kept as fair as possible.

Okay thanks! And I wasn't going to submit under them just using them as examples off the above! Thanks agian!
ooo, quite all right, the haiku-a-holic I am, I have a ton
*grins*
