WELCOME to the wiki page of Velvetdreams

This is ME, it's where I play, It's where I relax after a long, tiring day. It's a place of friendship and warm encouragement, A place to vent and let go of discouragement. Though I venture through cyberspace here and there, Occasionally ending up ... who knows where, Still I return for those familiar and creative themes, Yes, Mindsay is Home for Ms Velvetdreams.

Changes ... changes ... changes. Everything changes and the Steelers organization is no exception. What will the NEW face look like? How will they perform? We already know they'll take the field next season without Joey Porter #55. Many are sad to see him go. Many believe he was the heart and soul of the team. I do not happen to be among those fans who believe this. He was a vital part of the team, for sure, but ... It was inevitable. We will miss him, for sure, but who knows who will stand up and be the next leader ... ? First Jerome, now Porter ... The Superbowl Champs of 2005 are history. I, for one, an optomistic and anticipate good "adjustments" to the roster.

I'm also glad they're finally coming out and admitting that Ben's near fatal accident in June 06 had an obvious impact on his play this past season ... and understandably so. Anyone familiar with head trauma's knows that recovery takes months, even years and goes far beyond the physical element. Again, I am optomistic that the off season will allow Ben the time to heal further and prepare himself mentally and physically for a NEW year.
