pregnant with delusion.
i just watched a little clip on CNN of the pregnant "man." i tried to stay away from it as long as i could. even after watching, it still seems silly to me. of course, the person in question was born a woman. she eventually began hormone treatments to become what we’ll call "mannish." admittedly, this woman kept her reproductive organs intact and eventually got pregnant. my question is, if you retained your female organs, aren’t you technically still a woman? yeah you may have had the proper treatments to help yourself identify as a male, but you have gone and done one of the major things that proves you’re really a woman. i mean let’s keep it real, i could bleach my skin (even opt for plastic surgery) to look like a member of another race but guess what--i’m still an African-American, even if i were to go around denying it to death. i’m not trying to hate on this person or anything like that, i just think it’s wack when people go around trying to make a situation something other than it is. you’re NOT a pregnant man--you’re a pregnant woman who solely identifies as a man. i don’t claim to understand everything about the LGBT community--i swear i don’t. however, there are things in this case that are being glossed over. this may be the first time that something like this has happened, but the fact that the person in question is biologically, reproductively still perfectly a woman makes all of this hoopla about 95% less necessary. if you’re transgendered or whatever and you want to have a kid . . . fine, do that. that’s not what this is about. just stop fronting like you’re going to shoot a fully-formed baby out of your dick.
I think it's beautiful because it's different - not a mainstream thing. I like to see things happen to make society more blended and even tho this is getting a lot of attention, it's really not negative overall. For those reasons, this man/woman is doing something amazing.
To society it's not about whether s/he is fe/male or whatever. It's all about appearances. From that viewpoint, something awesome is happening right before our eyes and in our lifetime. That's pretty cool.
As for a penis, s/he doesn't have one. The only suregery was breast removal. The rest was hormone therapy. S/he still has a vagina and a clit. From the video I saw, the testerone therapy makes the clit grow into a penis during arousal and s/he can have normal intercourse with the wifey. Pretty cool too.
His/her reason for the change was wanting to be accepted socially. I can understand that.
