Hello Kelly. My name is Chris. I am glad to see you enjoyed his CD. Jan is an awesome Guy. I have had the privavledge of seeing him play in his recording studio a few times with my dad who is playing drums for him now. I want to agree that to me personally, I think the Songs "Feel like Getting mad" and "Artist" are my two favorites. Two very well done, very well written, very well composed songs. Although, I think, if I am not mistaken, Jan says "I feel like getting mad at you all for not letting me Carry the Bulk". That would mean that he wants to take the weight of the world only his shoulders to make peace in the world. That is what I am gathering from the song. Again, It is a very nice song and I am glad you liked his music. (And you should here how he does EMerson, LAke And Palmer's Lucky Man. lol. So awesome). Anyway, I enjoyed reading your critequing. hi kel i signed on to mindsay,so far it looks great. first i want to tell you that you are one of the most astute and amazing people ive ever known in my life your acessment of the meanings behind the songs were so accurate that i was damn near in shock. you have prooved to me that 1) i know you listened to every song completely and not only did you understand what i was saying ,it was as if you ,had read my mind.you are unreal.also i want to thank you for proof positive that i got the messege that i intended. you hit the mail on the head. i feel like getting mad was a tribute to john lennon and the reason it and some other tunes had a beatlesk quality its because i got steve holly to play drums (paul mcCartneys drummer,from wings.ted baker from steely dan on piano,the legend john simon produced the rich string arrangments (all real no keypads on this record)and an all star cast of the best players around.your critique was da bomb and i thank you from every fiber of my organic person and every partical of life from my spirite. ps thelast tune hannaleah was for my dear loving mother may her body rest in peace and soul sore too eternity, thank you again love jan.
