i'm not on my wiki page that much either. only because i didn't even really care about till someone left me a comment there. lol. so i was like. *gasp* it needs to be spiffied up!

i've been doing just dandy. i'm graduated now woot woot! and i'm taking some long needed time off. and then going to uvsc for generals. then going into graphic design, photography and social work. lol yah there's alot to do! so i'm resting before i have to work my rear end off lol how have you been doing?? anything exciting happening?? any boytoys? lol i have no boytoys at the current comment *moment of silence* lol

Okay to access your yahoo mail or gmail you need to follow these instructoins excactly.  I'll put everything in here exactly the way you need it to paste. 

 

First, you need to open Mozilla Firefox.  I installed it on you D:\ drive under the folder "firefox" D:\firefox

 

Once you can view the files in the folder, you need to click on the firefix graphic button.  The file should be about 7mb in size and be an "application" or ".exe" file.  You will see a picture of the globe/world and a fox with a fire tail trailing around it on the left hand side of the image.

 

After you open that file, you will need to tell the program not to import anything in the window that pops up.

 

Another window will now pop up along with the application.  It won't matter if you make firefox you default browser because all of your settings will get erased when you shut down your computer.  (There is a small fix for this too that is perfectly within the bounds of the contract and won't harm your computer.  If you want to know more about it ask me later.  I use it to open photoshop on my school account.)

 

Now you need to type in the URL for yahoo mail.  You will have to use a specific URL otherwise it will not work.  You must use https://mail.yahoo.com/  agree to the two pop up windows as they are about the security features of viewing encrypted server connections. (This is a good thing.)

 

Type in your username and password then agree to the next security pop up window.

 

You should now see your inbox.  And your set!

 

If you have a gmail account, it's exactly the same except that the URL is https://mail.google.com/

 

This won't work in Internet Explorer.  I'm still working on Hotmail and I'm not sure its going to work given what kind of server Microsoft uses.

Okay so I can't edit my post...you have to add another "s" after the http when accessing yahoo mail.  When you hit the Border Management screen just put an "s" after the http in the address bar.  That will let you through.  Sorry I forgot to add that one in.  I wrote that from home and didn't notice that it reverts back to the http.  I think gmail works fine though without any alteration.  Still working on hotmail.  Microsoft dosen't use a secure server, so I'll have to find another way.
