BTW sorry it took me so long to reply to your post. I am been in Texas so much. But DH now has a job back here in Oklahoma and he actually gets to come home every night. It is so great to have him home.

I still live in Hollywood, so the fire kind-of scared me.  But I don't live close enough to

really start packing or anything.  I was concerned about the zoo and the animals; I am

planning to take my niece there for my birthday.  It would've been a shame not to be

able to make this special visit, being that I love my niece so much.  Anyway, hope all

is well with you, wherever you live today.  Just thought I'd send a note.

I hope all is well out there now. I loved that area in the 60's. I went to John Marshall High.

 

I went to the zoo for his grand opening in 1966. The asphalt was still soft.

My grandfather got me into a lot of events like that because of his position with the park dept. He was one of the founders of Travel Town. His name is on the plaque in front - Orin Wennersten.
