I am from Humbolt County USA and 65 years old.I believe in having an open mind and open ears when it comes to music appreciation, interpretation, and song creation. For this reason I have long since hated the system, (or is it?) by which we attempt to put music into "Genres". Furthermore, my intrigue in less "conventional" harmonies and song structures, is often not taken as well by the majority of others.....at least not at first. My work has been described as dissonant, out of time, polyrhythmic, a child messing around on the piano, and there are many more flavorful descriptions than that.Selected Compositions

Northcoast, I am here on my brother-in-law's behalf (drunkenenglishman). First, let me say that I am a Christian of the Baptist religion. My husband, myself, and our daughter enjoy and respect church. We believe and rejoice in the power and love of the Lord. I respect your devotion in spreading God's word. I think it is wonderfull that you are using your blog to further the Christian word. However, you cannot bully or push someone into conforming to this. As a Christian you should realize and respect this. Although you do not agree with his views, you do not have the right to harrass him with yours. That really only pushes people away. I understand that you have his welfare in mind with good intentions, however, there is only so much you can do without your cause backfiring. I ask that you take my advice and not visit him further. I'm sure you don't want the type of response he is sending you on your blog any longer and, in turn, he does not want yours. Keep the peace and discontinue. Thank you. You are welcome to visit my blog anytime.

The Jackson Pollack of music eh? As artists, we all take the initiative to repell from what has already been done. So, do you really look like theTom Selleck pic you have here? I checked out your tunes and it doesn't sound half as dissonant as you described. I hear some balladry and illustration styles, a leeetle bit of Jim Cole sounds seeping through. It is good stuff you have. Keep it comin!
