ps... When I am praying for someone that is highly intellectual, that even knows the word inside and out, knows all the theory and doctrines, and has been exposed to 'religion' and now scoffs at it over and over ( for example in a series of top blogs mocking christ followers)There is no way to argue away his convictions. I merely pray harder for the Lord to give them a damascus road experience and that their hearts remain softened to hear Jesus and that God meet them everywhere they turn  

 

I find that when I have gotten into discussions with folks like that, in the end, my words merely get twisted up, so its better to just let the Holy Spirit hammer them ( lol!)

I know, that is what I am struggling with. I mean, misterskank keeps asking me my motives. My motives are not really even plain to me, because I truly feel as though the Holy Spirit is trying to work through me and maybe I am messing it up. But, I am trying to proclaim my own faith!

I think personally-that he is just 'playing' and that we are merely fodder for use of derisive examples in his classes. But nevertheless, I will pray as I shared

When you get a moment, would you visit my post ( leave a message at the beep) and skip down to the section 'church' and read the email my pastor from the church we are leaving wrote me and could you give me an unbiased 'thought' on what you glean from that email, her tone, her message, etc? I have a feeling that I am trying to squash, but I have gotten in trouble by not listening to my gut feelings in the past, and I am just seeking confirmation...thanks alot!
