Hey are you OK

Once upon a time there was a girl who tried her best to do everything and anything that her parents wanted her to do. She took the classes at school that they picked out, she wore the clothes that they paid for, she played in the school band instead of joining the school chorus- because she thought it was what her parents wanted her to do. She even went so far as to get married the first (and second) time to men she thought would make everyone else happy about if she married them.

She is now twice divorced and working on her issues about men with a wonderful man who has the patience of a saint. She finally went to to college- and finished- after paying for it herself. And finally at 40 she is becoming the person she always wanted to be- but wasn't allowed to be.

She is me. Life is short- follow your heart.
