Hey, I'm feeling really bad about what I said regarding your comments about your grandmother and dad... I don't usually jump to conclusions about people's intentions- I'd rather give you the benefit of the doubt.... I obviously should have done that this time.  It was really great to have something positive come from your spontaneous decision to call after not speaking to them for so long!  It's obviously a great feeling for you and I didn't want to bring you down off of that.  I'm sorry- I really should have resisted the urge to comment on a fleeting impression.  

No worries.  I knew that sounded bad when I wrote it but it is what it is.  Dad knows it.  He and I have had a difficult time with each other and one of the reasons is money.  When I left high school to get a job in the mortgage business dad decided to start sending business to my best friend at the time and set him up for success instead of me.  It sounds untrue but it is.  He and I had a tear out fight about that one time and I left for Tennessee.  All I wanted was an opportunity and did not get one.  So I went to college and did my own thing.

 

It was just one of the things that tour us apart.  And you know something, I could really care less about the money all I wanted was a good relationship with him but that was not to be then.  I never asked him for anything and still have not.  Never.  Maybe I should have, idk.

 

We do talk now and I plan on staying with him for Thanksgiving.  I did ask him to take me deep sea fishing.  He said yes and I soooo cannot wait to go and do that.  I never post pics of me here but I plan on taking my camera then for sure.  That will be a big day for me.  He will probably put me to work again as usual and lecture me about something or whatever but that will be o.k.  I just want to catch the big one!

 

As far as my grandmother, we never really talked at all during my life.  We were not close.  But it was good to talk to her and maybe we can bond a little bit now.

Some distance and independence hopefully will make it a little easier to focus on the positive aspects of getting along.  Deep sea fishing sounds like a passion you share... perhaps start there and keep some topics off limits.  I wish you the best of luck in developing a good relationship with your dad and grandmother! 

Thanksgiving sounds like a long time off- at least for me.... my summer is just beginning- it will be months before I think about Labor Day, let alone Thanksgiving! LOL

I found it.  Go to wunderground.com which is a weather channel type website.  At the top there will be a tab called wunderphotos.  To find that exact pic just search for "lonely walk".  But there are a lot of great pics there.

Hey there...Just wanted to say hello.  I got on here to late to down load my vacation pic's i'll try to do that this week.  Tell me about your vacation... did you do anything exciting?

Yeah, check out some of earlier blog entries.  I had a real good time even though I was mostly alone.  I posted some pics and can't wait to see yours.  Do I get to see the risque ones? cause I know you have some!!!!!

LOL.... yes of course I have some.... but... not as risque as last years.  Although I did get to dance on the bar this year... you will get a kick out of that.  I had to do the booty shake. After that I was kown as the ass shaking girl on the boat... needles to say Senor Frogs was a very popular hang out for the people on the ship... Every time someone seen me the would turn around and shake their booty... I had a total blast!
