Hey, KSNA, I too live in Austin. Your profile caught me because of Cali...the cat. My horse is named Calli! Strange coincidence. I am best described on my web site, Garykent filmmaker.com. I am pretty much out of the film business after forty years, as I broke aabout every bone in my body as Stunt Co-ordinator on Bubba Ho-Tep. If you like horror films, you should check this out, as it is a hoot. Not to scarey, by funny at the same time.
I am writing a lot now, and enjoying it. After haveing several screenplays produced, and one book co-authored, I am now starting to blog, and working on my second book. (Shadows and Light/Journeys With Outlaws In Revolutionary Hollywood). Anyway...I enjoy your stuff, so keep at it kid. I am now a fellow Austinite, and, as you, enjoy most all but the damned humidity!!

Actually, we saw Bubba Ho-Tep as soon as it came out on video...we love Bruce Campbell!

Austin is the new Hollywood, it seems, so perhaps it is too soon to say you've left the film business behind! It's a good place, Austin, and today the weather was beautiful...almost like a spring day in Wyoming...
