Ella definatly. I'm a jazz singer myself, so her and Natalie Cole are geniuses *geniui? i know theres a different plural for genius, haha* I'm also a huge The Used fan, but I love just about everything.

So I've been told. I've won a few awards for competitions and almost got a contract, unfortunatly my contact quit the business before I could get an agent. I've put it on the back burner for college though, I'm more focused on majoring in BioChem.

....i don't think art should ever be put on the back burner, and yet we all do it so much.  sometimes i don't think "real life" is really all that rewarding in comparison.

Well, science is my art. It fascinates me more and it benefits others in a profound way. SInging would take up too much time. Plus, what do I need to go on tour for? I'm not a druggie or an insomniac, I'd hate it. Someday I wanna go do broadway or some jazz CDs, but soon I'll be takin med school classes.

i live to perform.  well, not really.  but i enjoy it so much, i know i wouldn't feel as alive w/o it.

 

but if for you, science is your "drug", more power to you.  how exactly does it benefit other, anyway?  ...premed to be a doctor?  or something else?  biochem?  how does it all fit together?

Haha, yea, I know I couldn't go without singing, but performing in musicals takes up 3 months minimum.

I'll have to take premed courses to major in BioChem so I can do stem cell research. Just a whole lotta learning how things work, how to fix them, and hopefully I'll find a way to control stem cells. As it is, they have so much potential but theyre unpredictable, and a lot of people end up with small bone fragments in their new heart tissue.

I can't be a doctor though, I can stand seeing people in pain.

oh, yeh.  for sure.  as long as i can do the same.  what with reciprocity and all that.
