... stay tuned!

I'm not going to post anything new here photography or photoshop wise, for now... But this will be a great place to play with them - I'm not always as pleased with how a photo displays on my blog... sometimes it just doesn't want to work right! Maybe I'll learn some things practising here!

This space; one 'sayers adventure in creating a personalized space in the MindSay community.

Past blog headers; Here's the first customized header I used;

lily of the valley / text
Posted August, 2005

This "shot" inspired many other creeative projects, done before I got my camera!
It's actually a scanned image, the flowers and leaves were placed on the glass itself. I love the black background!

morning glories with efects
Here I experimented with some of Photoshop's features. This accompanied a blog about heavy rain and tornadoes that surprized the Wellington County area of southwestern Ontario in late August and that drenched the garden.

Hollyhock w/text
Another scanned image... I had some fun results with the experiments I made with my scanner!

close up crysanthemums w/text
One of my very first photographs taken after purchasing my camera. Kodak Easyshare Z740. Luckily these had grown so beautifully that my practice close up turned out "incredible"!

halloween toon header
some silly animations I tried using Photoshop - BEFORE I really knew how to use it; this one, and one more...

another holloween ani
These were fun and though simple, they allowed me to expand my understanding!

photo of jack o lantern
This was our cute Jack o Lantern. I enjoyed using various settings on the camera to get just the "right" effect! (and didn't have to "blow" a roll of film plus processing to find out what worked! Bonus!

thanksgiving basket of vegetables & fruit
I LOVE this shot, it's warm, inviting and natural! Celebrating some of the harvest from the garden!

snow scene with birds at feeder w/text
Documenting the first significant snowfall, in November. The birds were "tanking up" at the feeder! This Shot taken from our kitchen window! I can't wait to get the telephoto and wide angle lenses that go with my camera! On my birthday wish list...!

door with wreath w/text
This shot became my on-line christmas card and is highlighted on my website. The wreath was made by my daughter, Thanks Sue! Looks great on the front door!

**********************************************************************
rainbow cartoon
**********************************************************************
And this marks the begining of a New Year - full of new adventures and interesting things to discover... Not just here but in all things... I look forward to building my rainbow toons this year...maybe a colouring book, maybe a story book...who knows! I'll dedicate it to my granddaughter, as according to her birth chart - she's destined to "change the world" as are most new babies being born today! Makes me believe the world will be a rainbow filled one in times to come!

**********************************************************************
Well I guess I had a busy year playing with headers, some didn't always work as I expected and so some weren't up for long. Perhaps by posting them here I can adjust them and tweak them and get them into shape.
I sure had fun learning how to do this, and learning to use my camera and then work with the photographs to incorporate into various designs. Practice doesn't have to be a bore! It can get tedious at times, but... this too will pass!

Re: Imcheryl's Wiki Page
Hello Imcheryl
Stopped by see your blog. I am also a Canadian born and raised in Ontario just outside of Toronto. I too share some of the same beliefs that you do. I found it interesting that a very close friend of my is almost identical in spirit as you. she is a wonderful person. I know longer live in Canada. I met and married my husband in Florida. Now I am blessed to be living in the sunshine state year round. I am blessed beyond belief and have many talents that I did not develop but simply have been a gift of the universe to me. So I do understand the garden and how we are all connected to one another. We are all here because we were led to it. Nothing happens by chance. All of have something to contribute to enhance life and to reach others to make the road a little easier for those who read the posts.
Thanks for being here I will follow you blog to be blessed by your insights. Again thanks.

Re: Imcheryl's Wiki Page
And thank you as well! I dropped by your blog and left you a message there! You're very right about things not happening by chance, as a matter of fact I don't believe in chance at all - things happen for reasons that we often aren't even aware of until much later in our lives. There is always purpose in why one suddenly turns right whe they "always" turn left or when one is drawn to something of interst or stumbles upon an interesting morsel of information. I am confident there is a divine universal will behind it all and I feel blessed that I can learn to tap into that energy and learn to work with it!
And it rings so true, I believe, that we are here to share and contribute with each other to help these bumpy rides we're on smooth out a bit! Or at least to give examples so that other people might be able to appreciate a different perspective from their own, perhaps learning tolerance and acceptance as a result!
Glad you stopped by and took the time to drop a note. I truly appreciate that and look forward to getting to know you!
