thanx for stopping by

i have to ask where you came up with your screen name? i have to ask because whenever i see your screen name, which is fairly often, i always think of that bobby fuller four song, 'i fought the law (and the law won)".
yep, that's what it's supposed to be. usually people associate it with some form of lawn care... i'm a big clash fan, and so i named myself after my favorite clash song at the time... which has now been quite a long time and i'm wishing id chosen something people 'got' more... eh. yep.
why is yours burl, and what significance does 235 have?

i chose burl because of two reasons. first is because i like redwood decorations and a burl by definition...well here:
burl (bûrl)
n.
secondly i chose the _235 because the plain burl was already used on yahoo when i was opening a free e-mail account so i chose three numbers as an identifier. three, because it's my favorite number (one, two, five! three, sir! three!) and the two and five just came out of 2+3=5...cause i'm a nerd mostly.
and the clash rocks by the way. i totally got your name
though i agree with you that most others wouldn't. it's interesting how many bands covered that song. bobby fuller four wrote it but i have versions sung by the dave clark five, and the clash as you previously stated
burl (bûrl)
n.
- A knot, lump, or slub in yarn or cloth.
-
- A large rounded outgrowth on the trunk or branch of a tree.
- The wood cut from such an outgrowth, often used decoratively as a veneer.
To dress or finish (cloth) by removing knots, lumps, slubs, or loose threads.
[Middle English burle, from Old French bourle, tuft of wool, diminutive of bourre, coarse wool, from Late Latin burra, shaggy garment.]
