Why HUSAR ? That's a name of a military formation of cavalry in 16th and 17th century Poland.
The formation's name was HUSARIA and individual was a HUSAR. From humble beginnings it developed into arguably the most fantastic looking and most effective cavalry ever. For a detailed history overview follow this link:

I myself celebrate the splendor and grendeur of later period, 17th century, when time and again these unequaled riders held Ottoman Empire at bay during their continues attempts to conquer Europe and spread Islam at the end of the sword. Fantastic victories at Chocim 1621, again Chocim 1673 and most important, Vienna 1683. That battle once and for all finished Ottoman's expansion into Europe.
There were scores of other battles.
