I hear ya. I understand supporting a candidate, but for some reason it seems like Ron Paul supporters come off like zealots.  I wasn't even a zealot about Clinton and I loved him.  When Clinton did something I didn't agree with, I didn't feel like it would be a betrayal to voice my opinion about it. I mean after all of the viable ways to save tax payers money, eschewing a commemorative medal would put us in the black? 

That is what scares me. It is so much like a cult. I have been very close to cult like worship and seen the damage it does. My former wife took on a cult like minister once and for ten years her and my whole family were hassled in my home town until we left as our marriage fell apart from the strain.

Wow, that's scary!

Small towns and churches can be strange especially if you ad conservative political views.

My ex spoke in favour of the ordination of homosexuals and turned a church family in for sexually abusing a child.

I liked how you said these Constitutionalists are as bad as people who take the bible word for word and literally. It's like they cling to constitution and take for granted other laws and programs put in place to help people.

It reminds me so much of my 4 years in prison (oops) Bible College where we could favour killing people but if we said the Bible was in error on some point we were asked to leave. We could ignore the sermon on the Lunt ( from the Bible) when it differed from paul who said the Bible was inerrant.

I see we'er close in age and seem to think on a similar thought pattern, with a few twists here and there. I feel you're a man of strong convictions and beliefs as am I. There are no BIG I's and little you's we'er  all created equal, some have more then others but bassically we'er all equal. At least you have acess to the great outdoors and some freah air while here in the lwer 48, I must contend with pollution and politics and all other crazyness that occurs on a regular basis. But I'll overcome this also. Be well and niceto have met ya. Ole timers never die, they just fade away.
