Edr: June 7 is my B.Day...I'll be seventy four...does that count?
G sector.
Edr: I have been out of Mindsay for awhile, as the Publisher of my book was building a new website, and didn't like the one I had---which was inclusive of Mindsay...oh, hell, it was all a mess. Anyhow, I didn't know I even had a posting on Mindsay any more...till my son suggested I check. How are you, my friend? I am ready for all the good news! Much going on here...will fill you in in a day or so. Just got back from the Dallas area...well, Mabank...where I spent some time on the horse ranch of my friend, Chuck Bail (The Stuntman, Celopatra Jones, etc.) We just kicked back and had some good laughs...more later. I want to know about you, damn it!
Best, Gary
Hey Ed...ljust a note to let you know that in Dallas this weekend, they have having some sort of horror fest, and are expecting thousands of people. They have a few celebrity guests...one a good friend of mine, Bob Ivy. Bob played The Mummy in Bubba-Ho-tep, He is also a great stuntman, having done the hearse roll in Phantasm 3, and much other stuff. I told him you might stop by. If you do, tell him you are my buddy....He will give you a free autographed pic of him as the mummy if you wish. I think the info is on TXfearfest.com
Hope things are hunky dory or some such with ya'

Is that this weekend? I might have to try and make it! Thanks Gary! If I get there I'll get an autograph from Bob for you, too.
Edr: I stand by my guns. The movie sucks and is, in my opinion, more or less a disgrace to be called a work of art and so on and so on...it is demeaning to humans, demeaning to animals, just about everything hyou can thing of, and in a bloated, ravanous, close-up kind of way....but...but..my dear friend, in the interest of not losing your respect all together, I would like to ask that you look up the two reviews in the N.Y. Times, (hilarious and they hate the damned thing more than I) The L.A. Times, the Rolling Stone, The Chicago Tribune, The Village Voice, etc...they are a lot more erudite in explaining its worthlessness as cinema than I. I guess I was being too kind.
Now I consider it an honor to be called an asshole and an old man and a creepy has-been by these immature dolts who have been trying to pass the movie off as the newest breakthrough in courageous cinema. Don't go see it, save your money and get a new video game or a nice meal out, you will be better served. Of course, that's just my opinion....
Best ever,
Gary the Gar/Bear
I'm gonna wait for it on DVD if I see it. Now, how can I hold your opinion against you when I haven't got any grounds to disagree, never having seen the film?
Don;t worry, your secret's safe with me
