And again, you're going to remain in my thoughts. I wish you strength while you learn to live with this new reality, and if there's anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
And yes, maybe we will get a chance to meet someday soon.
Six actually has my camera right now, did he tell you that? Tell him to bring it along next time you see him and you're welcome to take some shots! I'm still fairly new to photography, so don't really know how to take advantage of everything that she's capable of. I like seeing what she can do when she's in capable hands - it serves as inspiration that maybe someday I'll figure out how to do those things too!
I see that you added me to your friends list. I'll do the same, probably within the next couple of days. I'm in the process of restricting some entries and recategorizing some people on my friends list, so I'll probably wait until I get that done and then add you. I look forward to getting to talk with you more.
Yeah, he said he had it, and talked to me about getting out to do some shooting sometime soon. I'm currently, slowly, working on taking my first step into a somewhat professional role. Not that my photos are professional quality, but I'm working on setting up a website where I eventually would like to try selling some mounted/matted prints.
I look forward to it, too
And thanks again for taking an interest in my current situation. You two should definitely go out shooting and take my camera. And congrats on working towards selling your work. Are you totally self-taught? What kind of camera are you using right now? Do you have the same fondness for Canons that six and I have?
Are you strictly digital or do you do film shots too? I was online last night drooling over Lensbabies.... someday. *sigh* When I have time, knowledge, and money... And while I don't necessarily think "you're welcome"is the right reply, I guess you're welcome. I'm taking an interest because you seem like a nice person who has been put in a rotten place, and I want to see you come through it ok. When I was in my darkest moments, knowing how many people had offered their support and friendship did help make it a little easier. Even if I didn't reach out to them, it was a help to know they were there.
Yeah, I need to get out and shoot some more. I haven't done much with my camera at all since this all started. Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of Canon. I have a Canon Digital Rebel with a standard 15-85mm lens, 75-300mm telephoto lens, and a macro lens. I was seriously considering a Canon 40D body around Christmas, but now, my financial situation is up in the air, so I don't know that I'll be getting one anytime soon. I only shoot digital. I feel there's a certain art to film photography, but there's so much about digital that I'm still trying to learn, so I put all my focus there.
Yeah, that's how I feel about mindsay. I don't actually know many people here, but getting to read people's comments and getting a chance to voice some things really helps.
Yay, another fan of Canon! They really are great cameras. My first camera was a Canon A75. I raved enough about that camera that I ended up talking five other people into getting the exact same model. When I lost it, I knew my replacement would have to be another Canon. I'd like to get another point and shoot, but I really like my S3 and it's good for someone who's just a beginner.
Sounds like you've got yourself a pretty decent start. Great camera and lenses. The 40D is quite a camera too! If/when you do end up getting one, I look forward to seeing how those turn out. How long have you been shooting for?
My dad has shot with a Canon for years, too. He's had an old 35mm SLR for as long as I can remember and just got a used digital SLR within the last couple years.
I look forward to that, too, but I don't think I'll be getting that anytime soon. Unless, of course, everything turns around with my wife and I don't have to focus so much of my budget on keeping my house...
I've had point-and-shoots for years. I remember going crazy on film during a trip out west when I was in middle school. I didn't get serious about it until college when I got my first digital camera (a sony...). I didn't get my Rebel until 2005, at which time I really started trying to learn more about shutter speeds, aperture, etc. How bout you?
