So you know how The Producers is a movie that was turned into a musical that was then turned into a movie musical? Yeah, well this is nothing like that.
MindSay Productions in association with Mullows Media is proud to present:
BookSay.MindSay.com.
From the twisted mind of Matt Ulmer, or, if you're a visual learner:

BookSay is an ingenious invention from the creative thinkers who brought you...well...this very site you're currently reading.
One day, on a dark and stormy night, while the creators of MindSay were sitting around a shaky wooden kitchen table (probably drunk off their code-writing asses), they started brainstorming ways to incorporate that whole multi-media thing into their blogging community.
It's true that on this particular night they were often mesmerized by the sound of the falling rain on the rooftops, but every once in a while they were able to focus. And as a lightening bolt struck a bush outside their door, slicing the plant in half, they were similarly struck with a lightening bolt of a brilliant idea: ____Say...
Wait. _____Say? That doesn't even make sense. Blank Line Say? SpaceSay? What the hell are you talking about?
Just shut up and let me tell the story.
Um...hey...are you talking to yourself?
Don't you mean am I talking myself?
Well, technically shouldn't it be "don't you mean am I writing to myself?"
Yes, technically. But I think the readers get the gist.
And I think the readers are getting pretty restless wondering when you're going to get to the point.
The point of what? Oh, yeah, the reason BookSay exists Where was I?
Blank Line Say.
Of course. Despite what myself seems to think, _____Say does not mean Blank Line Say. The ____ stands for Enter Appropriate Media Here. For example: MovieSay, RadioSay, or, surprise, surprise, BookSay.
The idea, as most thoughts are when they are accompanied by lighting strikes, was a brilliant one - to give MindSay members a chance to discuss how to break into the media field in some way. If someone had made a movie, he or she would share his or her experiences with fellow bloggers looking to perform a similar achievement. If someone was planning to make a movie, or was in the process of making one, he or she would share his or her experiences with how to go about making that movie. The goal was to inspire others to finally set out to fulfill their dreams.
That's where BookSay comes in. The incredibly handsome, brilliant, funny Matt Ulmer...
Oh, you're too kind. You're making me blush.
Yeah, well, you deserve it...has written a few novels and is in the process of trying to get them published. BookSay is serving as a journal/how-to guide for doing just that. Think of it as Project Greenlight, the HBO and then Bravo TV show that followed filmmakers on their quest to make a movie, only actually successful, and for books instead of movies.
BookSay will act sort of like a reality show, only in the form of a blog. It will have all the drama that's bred when someone tries to realize a dream, and the potential successes and failures that come with it, as well as some helpful advice on how to write books and how to get them published.
So buckle up for the adventure of a lifetime as Matt Ulmer...
Yes?
Just shut up.
Sorry.
...writes about writing as well as what he wrote by publishing a blog on publishing as well as what he is attempting to get published. It should be quite the experience. But I assure you, there will be no gay dancing Hitlers on this website. Well ok, maybe just one:

Sounds like your wife is supportive. Mine to. She occasionaly reads my stuff but mostly just gives me space. Anyway, dealing with rejection and more rejection and then even more and more rejection...is the name of the game.
That small pulisher I was telling you about that asked for my entire manuscript for The Interwoven...turned it down. It cost me $22 to send that out.
Bastards! I'm sorry for your loss. It's the worst when they get your hopes up like that.
When are you going to send me the manuscript? And are you still not getting my e-mails?

Dude, I can't speak about "the book's writing" but I will say that your last few blog posts are well written. They also tell a story that is quite fun to read -- especially for another wanna-be writer like myself.
Maybe you could post the first page? That would be interesting. Very interesting.

Hey Matt, it's Mike....i.e. Mike Keith, the famous author.
Has your email changed? I've sent you a few emails but you never replied.
Anyway, I like your last two posts a lot. All the posts are great but I especially like the ones dealing with your journey on getting published -- all the confusion and choices and trial and error and failures and times of hope etc.
Send me an email at lynne_mike@alltel.net if you get this. I doubt that I'll know how to reply to you on mindsay.
I hope you're somehow getting this, because I've been responding to your e-mails, but they apparently aren't getting through. Sounds like a classic case of user error to me, so I'll keep trying to solve it.
Hey, I actually got this. Looks like blondie06 is your friend -- dude, you got married to quick. Just kidding
Weird that I'm not getting your emails.
Try sending to my work email -- Mike_Keith@progressive.com.
I got a few chapters reviewed at my writting group today. Interesting feedback. They found issues, good stuff actually, they I would have never seen. Kewl.

Man, I gotta get involved in a writing group. It always sounds like you have so much fun there.
I'm going to send an e-mail to your work account now, and hope it gets through. And hey, marriage mistakes can always be rectified. Huh? What? Oh, I'm just kidding, honey. Yeah, kidding.
