Meow. I answer to the name Abi or Abster and I was born two autumns ago in a pretty hot place where the sun shines alot and every thing smells damp.A large calico took me home from a noisy smelly place infested with many other people and I was really glad to get away. Only thing was she took me somewhere that smelled worse than people and larger animals poked and pricked me, looking in my ears, adding some foul smelling stuff in them and rubbing it all over my fur. But afterwards she took me to a cool place with lots of sun and fed me treats and some really delicious wet stuff. It was nice to explore and the more I explored the more interesting the place became.
Before long the calico was bringing me boxes and toys and water whenever I wanted it and the place never smelled of poop because as soon as I buried it she would come and take it away. Great service. I rewarded her as much as possible and in time she brought in large trees and balls and every kind of climbing thing imaginable. She even played with me by chasing me on the floor and murmuring sweetly whenever I got up really really high.
Then last year when the sweet smelling things started coming out and I could hear more birds singing the two large animals put me in a very large moving noisy box and for many days and night we would stay in that box until we stopped at a new larger place with even more places to explore. The air was cooler, there were more birds and those big holes in the box opened and I could smell everything around me.
She found a new spot for me to visit in my small box with the heavenly smelling cloth but the new animal there pricked me with long sharp wires so I hissed at her. Imagine that. My calico took me home quickly and made it up to me with more games and treats and so I decided I would get in the little box when she wanted. it wasn't all that bad.
Before long I really had her trained. she had three sand areas for me to poop and pee and she cleaned them regularly, and there were so many openings for light and air that I managed to ger her to put nice perches there so I could always look out. She still has one really obnoxious habit of saying No when I jump up on the high places in the room that smells like food but I follow her silly rules and only go up there whenever she isn't around. once i found some eggy sweet things and dragged them to the floor before she found me and took them away.
There is only one place they dont let me go and I am dying to know what's behind the door. It smells like wood and water and spiders and someone will go in there for a little while but they always block me from getting in. I heard one of them call it bsmnt. Hmmmmmmm.
The best thing though is how sometimes i get to leave the big box with all the openings and walk in the bushes or climb a tree. she has me connected to some long red strap but i get pretty far and as long as I dont make too big a fuss she lets me alone. I discovered that if I purred when i saw the strap she would put it on me right away and I could go into the places where there is a little ocean that smells great and lots of leaves and birds. In fact I am not sure I want to go any farther. once i did get off the strap and ran straight into a larger striped person who tried to sniff my butt. I showed him how impudent THAT was.
So right now I have to say I have a pretty good life. They seem to do what I want when I want and I only have to stay off the high food places, otherwise they seem endlessly entertaining and tolerant and even though I have to put up with the clip clip of my claws, I pretty damn am the queen of the castle. thanks for reading this.
Aren't I terrific?
