Synopsis

• Jeffrey "the Dude" (or Duder, his Dudeness or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing) Lebowski, according to the opening omniscient voice of the Stranger, is perhaps the laziest man alive.  Unemployed, he lives out of a small studio apartment in or around Hollywood, California, burning up time by bowling with his buddies Walter and Donny, driving around and reliving the occasional acid flashback.
• It just so happens the name his parents gave him is the same as millionaire philanthropist Jeffrey Lebowski- the titular Big Lebowski.  As it would also come to pass, the Big Lebowski's wife Bunny owes money all over Hollywood, including various pornographers.
• Had the Dude not born the Big Lebowski's name, he would not have found himself thrown into a race against time to find the missing Bunny Lebowski and a cool million dollars that seems as substantial as the morals and values of southern California.
• Lebowski also experiences various marijuana induced acid flash backs have produced an entourage or different fantasys that involve all of his surroundings (i.e the second flashback entitled: Gutterballs, lebowski wears the white repairman suit that Karl Hungus wore in the porno film and Heussain was the guy spraying the shoes in the beggining credits) that usually follow after his incapacitations.

Greatest movie of all time. Makes Sideways look like a cheap bottle of wine.
