Organic Gardening

MindSay wiki pages: anyone can edit page content/design, post comments, or find other members interested in Organic Gardening!
Welcome All!
This is the very begining of the Organic Gardening Page!

This is a co-creative exercise - this webpage - as well as Organic Gardening itself- both take co-operation between all the elements to be a true success!

Compost
Creating a compost pile is the keystone to starting an organic garden.  Keep a bin in or near your kitchen to collect your scraps (I prefer not to use any meat scraps) for composting.  Recycling your kitchen "waste" is a valuable part of reducing your impact on natural systems, especially if you will be eating produce from your own garden.   A good seedless hay such as lucerne (alfalfa) will provide the majority of the carbon required for the 30:1 carbon:nitrogen ratio.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone can (and is encouraged to!) add content and edit the work of others to improve the experience for everyone else. What can you share with others about Organic Gardening? We can begin with some basic information and then add links for regionally specific information.

A few ideas to get us started:
  • general information / history of Organic Gardening
  • recent news about Organic Gardening
  • photos / video / sounds relating to gardening
  • links to useful web sites about organic gardening resources, etc.
