Welcome, I'm Dr. Marvin Candle, and this is the orientation film for Station #0, Mindsay, of the Dharma Initiative... In a moment you'll be given a simple set of instructions for how you and your partners will fulfill the responsibilities associated with the station.

You and your partner are currently located in Station #0, or Mindsay. Station #0 was originally constructed as a communications facility for scientists to record and share their observations in between projects.

Today the station is still being used for this purpose, with the added novelty; from this station you can now observe not just the subjects of the experiments, but also take a peek at what your fellow scientists are doing on the island.

Take care -- observations recorded here can and will be read by the public at large. We at the Dharma Initiative are not responsible for the content at station #0, nor should any reflections made here speak for the Initiative as a whole.

Congratulations, until your replacements arrive, the future of the project is in your hands. On behalf of the DeGroots, Alvar Hanso and all of us at the Dharma Initiative, thank you.
