Heavy Metal
MindSay wiki pages: anyone can edit page content/design, post comments, or find other members interested in Heavy Metal!

Heavy Metal has evolved into a series of differant genres. Each has the same roots, but all are differant. Death Metal, Just Metal, Nu Metal, 80's glam, gothic metal, black metal. There are so many others.
On this page I am gonna touch on many of them. Bands like Dio, Metallica, Cradle of Filth, and others. You are open to comment, or even post a new topic over a differant band. The decision is yours. So all Heavy Metal Junkies unite, and
ROCK THE FUCK OUT!!!
Next topic band is
Mudvayne!!!
Mudvayne, a newer, more progressive metal. Led by their frontman Chad grey, who's vocals are not only beautiful, but very powerful, they have paved the way for up and coming mainstream metal bands. With the wicked bass guitars, and awsome guitars they have created a style all their own. Bass player Ryan Martini definatly sticks out with his complex array of bass lines and lead riffs. He is one of the better bass players around. Drummer Matt McDonough makes it all mesh. His style and skill have helped to propell the band into stardom. He makes it all work so well. And lets not forget Greg Tribbet, guitars. He has come up with a way of fitting full bar chords into the mix and metal it the fuck out. Mudvatne is currently on tour. Check them out at Mudvayne.com
OUR Opinion
Music makes us feel empowered and energized. Mudvayne is music to mosh to. To fight to. Their first album, LD 50 (released August 29th 2000), was an album that introduced us to the brutal mix that is Mudvayne. With songs such as Dig and Death Blooms, they entered the mainstream heavymetal world with a bang. They fill us up with, I dunno, I cannot describe the feeling I get when they are in person, or just playing through iTunes. They are fucking awsome. Mudvayne had some of the greatist lyrics in the world. The mixture of metaphores, and very creative thinking has produced a sound and style all their own. They have crossed the barrier into a relm that only they can fill. I cannot wait for the next shit from them to be released. And if you dont already own them, Their entire collection, LD 50, The Beginning of all Things to Come, The End of all Things to Come, and Lost and Found, is a must have. Even if you are into the heavier death metal, I still would recommend this set. Take it easy and keep the metal pulsing.

I'm partial to old-school heavy metal stuff, especially to NWoBHM

Ya know. Arguing about the difference between Nu-Metal, Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, Is like arguing what order to turn the engines around on the Titanica. Its music, who cares what the difference between the 2 is? Either you like it or not. Manowar is fucking amazing. So is Metallica, they are both harder then fucking everything else. If you want to go be a dick about music, do it somewhere else. It shouldn't be about clasifying what genre it is. It should be about rockin out.
Manowar...ha!!! You want metal, and you say manowar. Man, they blow dogs for quarters. If you want to talk metal, then lets talk real metal.devil driver. They cut off the scalps of Manowar, and then hang them by their toes using fich hooks. Zao beats all three of your bands with the good book. Man, You wanna talk metal, and give those names, then you need to go to some pussy mtal page.
dude...have you ever even HEARD OF GISM! they blow all fucking pussy false metal bands away. like fuckign GISM crazy japanese punk metal crossover band. sakevi is one crazy fuck.
and axegrinder...fuckign axegrinder, nuff said.
yes manowar is one of the cheesy ones, but compared to fucking korn and slipknot that everyone on here is talkign about...haha
Metallica of today doesn't rock like they used to. The first album (not counting Metal Massacre 1 or singles) was hard as it got in those days though still a little rough around the edges. With Ride the Lightning they polished it up a bit while still keeping it heavy. With Master they were at the top of their game. From there it's been down hill. Cliff Burton was a god.

I saw metallica at the download festival in glasgow, the were fantastic and rocked out some of their best....i agree about their new stuff, it just isn't the same, not as intense!

This is cool except i cant read my fucking fonts which would be a nice change. What can i do to change that?
