Hey I'm psychonaut  and i absolutly love the book Ender's Game... I read it in 8th grade and again in highschool. This book touched me and i fell in love with it. I felt a close conection with the main charactor of the book! They way the game he played directly relateted to the world he live in was simply amazing to me! Brings bak thoughts of it when i recently played Deus Ex, since everything that you do in that game effects the game world!

Come on guys, if you love this book add to this! lets tell our feelings about the book! It was a great piece of litature! Orson Scott Card was a genious!

Indeed, it was Orson Scott Card who said in the prolouge to Ender's game, "Why do we read fiction anyway? Not to be impressed by somebody's dazzling language - or at least I hope that's not our reason. I think that most of us, anyway, read these stories that we know are not "true" because we're hungry for another kind of truth: The mythic truth about human nature in general, the particular truth about those life-communities that define our own identity, and the most specific truth of all: our own self-story. Fiction, because it is not about somebody who actually lived in the real world, always has the possiblility of being about ourself."

I agree...a great read, one of my all time favorites.  I've read them all and many of OSC's other books too!  In fact I recently introduced them to a friend and now all he wants to do is read and not do anything else so I'm holding the final book for randsom.

I've read all the way through Ender's series. Ender's Shadow (rather Bean/Peter's series) is amazing once you reach them.

Card's a gifted writer. I hope you enjoy Speaker for the Dead.

Re: Ender's Game
I think that I read Ender's Game for the first time in fifth or sixth grade, and I was infatuated with it. It was the first book I read that I got profoundly attached to the characters and the story, and have since read it and the rest of the series almost every year continually.

Orson Scott Card owns.

I'm a big OSC fan - and I like how all of his work has some foundation in reality despite the fantastical things that happen.

Ender's Game got me reading in the first place and still remains one of my favorite books - it's what I pick up when I don't feel like reading anything else.
