Ryan Seacrest is now in his fifth season as host of FOX’s No. 1 hit show, AMERICAN IDOL Last year he helped FOX enjoy its highest ratings share for the fourth season in a row. With AMERICAN IDOL, his radio shows “On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ and “American Top 40’ and his many specials and award shows throughout the year, he reaches millions of American eyes and ears.

Originally from Atlanta, Seacrest began his professional career in broadcasting at the age of 16, when he applied for an internship at one of Atlanta’s top radio stations, WSTR/STAR 94. Impressed by his talent, the station offered him the nighttime slot (7:00 PM to midnight), and the show became one of the station’s highest-rated. Seacrest then went to Los Angeles’ KYSR/STAR 98.7, where he had a successful six-year stint hosting the high-rated drive-time show “Ryan Seacrest for the Ride Home” with Lisa Foxx.

Paula Abdul’s music career encompasses worldwide album sales exceeding 30 million records, two No. 1 albums, six No. 1 singles, a Grammy Award, seven MTV Awards, two Emmy Awards, two People’s Choice Awards and two Kids’ Choice Awards. She has also been honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard and inducted into Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Hall of Fame.

Contestants and viewers alike praise Abdul’s positive feedback on AMERICAN IDOL. She has even designed inspirational good-luck jewelry for the IDOL contestants. Abdul designs a jewelry collection called “Innergy,” consisting of handmade gold and silver pendants and bracelets. She also has designed a line of cheerleading attire and dancewear for young girls and teenagers called “Skirtz,” inspired by her own dance and cheer career.

Simon Cowell’s honesty on AMERICAN IDOL has made him a household name in America. Cowell’s UK-based production company, SYCO, has just finished production of Season 2 of the No. 1 entertainment show in the UK, “The X Factor,” which began airing in the UK in September 2005, with Cowell executive-producing and starring. In December 2003, Cowell’s book “I Don’t Mean to Be Rude, But....” hit the stands, detailing behind-the-scenes information about AMERICAN IDOL.

A 20-year veteran of the music industry, Cowell is an executive with BMG Records. He has helped to shape the modern pop music industry. Over the last 15 years his acts have achieved sales of more than 100 million albums, and he has had over 50 No. 1 records. His most recent discovery is the pop-opera quartet Il Divo, whose debut album has sold over 5 million copies around the world and has entered into the top 5 in 23 countries. The UK version of AMERICAN IDOL, “Pop Idol,” is where Cowell became a celebrity in his own right.

Randy Jackson is a Grammy Award-winning producer and a 20-year music industry veteran. He started his music career at the age of 13 playing the bass, which led to playing with the band Journey. For eight years, he was the vice president of A&R at Columbia Records, followed by four years as senior vice president of A&R at MCA Records. Jackson has recorded, toured and performed with the likes of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, *NSYNC, Madonna, Elton John, Destiny’s Child and many more.

Jackson has worked on over 1,000 gold and multi-platinum albums. His contributions have helped to sell over 200 million albums worldwide. With his talent, immense studio knowledge and performing, touring and record company experience, he is one of today’s most highly regarded music industry experts.
