Eef you Microsoft

My gamer profile got corrupted.

And to recover it, I apparently need Xbox Live.

I don't have that shit.

And I don't know how to connect to it.

I need my achievements back. I feel as though part of my life was wasted.

FUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKK.

I'm in my new place
Finally..only a month after I was suppose to be there.

I don't know if any of you had to move back in with your parents for any length of time, but I don't recommend it. Especially when you have no room of your own and your mom (and her room mate) smoke like a Yugo running on regular.

Last night it was so nice to just close the door last night and know that no one could come in..and I could use my PC without hearing the TV on all the time, breathing fresh air, and not having to listen to comments about everything, or have the sound of Pogo.com seared in to my consciousness. I don't even have a matress yet but I had a better sleep on the floor of my own room then I have had in months.
Maybe my lungs can start to heal heh...Since I was really sick last week they have hurt a little; I know being around the smoke doesn't help.

I'm working on some projects and being in my own space is going to help my whole creative output. I'm eating cup of noodles to stay alive right now, having to get the net off of a somewhat working satellite card...but man it is so worth it.

I have grown to hate the television. It is one of those things I will use, but when it is not being used I turn it off.  I haven't watched Television on a regular basis since..2003? 2004? I have grown to loath having the incessant chattering of inane fictitious beings always in my ear...and I'm not talking about voice chatting with my friends online (hahaha)

Anyway, I'm at work and just thought I'd take some time to rant since the satellite card works everywhere....

Although..when I woke up this morning the electric guy was driving off. He turned off our electric. Dang APS and their misunderstandings! Luckily I'm at work all night so the electricity on tomorrow when I get home..

Of course my house mate has to sleep with no electric.

I also have my xbox 360 with me (The GTA IV duffel bag makes a really good 360 tote) so I should be playing more GTA here tonight. w00t.

I love my mom to pieces and our relationship is so much better then it used to be.  However I won't, God willing, have to live with her again.  I like being able to breath...heh.

I've Got A Frog In My Pocket And He Hates Your Face
Mindsay, for all intents and purposes, has become my blogging sanctuary. Thanks to myspace's friend feature combined with everyone on Earth having one or more pages, this has become my place to rant about things I can't rant about outright anymore. It doesn't even matter to me if only a small group of people read it here. Just having a place to rant in the first place is good.

I've been sick since Saturday evening. I worked Monday and I'm here today but in all, I'm not feeling 100%. I spent the last day or so getting caught up with my BBC Planet Earth DVD box set, a series I HIGHLY recommend to anyone remotely curious about the world at large. It is seriously one of the best science-related presentations ever created, using super high-tech camera equipment to capture footage that the naked human eye is not likely to ever witness on its own. Just beautiful cinematography and use of slow-motion trickery. The narration is top notch for fans of British people. I especially appreciate the way nothing is censored in terms of the crazy things wildlife creatures do, even as it relates to cannibalism (stupid monkeys). I'm getting Blue Planet: Seas Of Life next......can't wait!

What else? I got Kane And Lynch: Dead Men for PS3. The game bears a striking resemblance to Hitman, which I didn't love so much. Also, what is the deal with the PS3 games? Is it just me or does everything look kind of wonky, especially in HD? There must be some truth to the whole mapping + loading times issue because EVERY Xbox 360 game I've played loads faster and looks better on my HDTV and I'm running the 360 using VGA cables instead of HDMI. Still, movies look AWESOME on my TV. Whatever.

I think I'm becoming a fan of David Cross. I used to not like him or his comedy much because the DVD of Let America Laugh sucks but I've seen some of his act on YouTube and his open letter to Larry The Cable Guy is one of my favorite things to have read in months.

You Grew Up Fast, Now You'll Die Soon!!
If anyone plays this game (especially in HD) and still refuses to buy an gaming console, they have officially signed on to become an old person. Pretty soon, you will be hosting fondue parties and watching golf on TV like a nerd. Instead, stay young. Buy an Xbox 360. Play video games. Never grow old.

p.s. Skate for the 360/PS3 rules my entire world with a vengeance. Check it!

Just Get In The Coffin For A Few Minutes
Oh, this blog I have been neglecting of late....

Perhaps I've nothing of great social import to say, discuss or propose that will either entertain or inform? Who knows? I've been slacking in certain areas of my slackerosity lately while indulging in others. Where have I been slacking? Movie viewing. It's been all TV, all the time. My new addition to my growing list of TV gems is FX's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. When Mac said "Ugh. It's like the sound of whales being raped.", I spit my lunch across the room from laughing. Chuck, NBC's newest Monday lead-in to the surprisingly exceptional Heroes, is already shaping up to be a nice viewing of action-comedy. Toss is the triumphant return of Dexter on Sunday and my schedule is blossoming with good TV that requires the use of a brain. No Hogan Knows Best for this lad.

On the indulgent side, it's been all about Skate for the Xbox 360. Oh man, if there was EVER a virtual experience to practically guarantee that I will never actually step on a board again, Skate is it. Standing opposite of Tony Hawk's franchise, Skate is a true-to-form skateboarding simulation with realistic goals and unforgiving, yet rewarding controls that have allowed me to finally feel like I have talent. Plus, the graphics in HD.........YO YO MA!!!! So disgustingly beauteous and wonderful. Lighting effects, texture mapping, pristine models, Skate hath lit up my video game world.

One day and counting until the triumphant return of TV's greatest product.....The Office. I've got my Dwight Shrute "Army Of Champions" badge...do you?
