Woman Says Yes to Marriage Proposal on Halo 3

jedirevan alerts us to one of the more bizarre wedding proposals we've heard of.  From xbox.com:

"On November 3, 2007 Moviesign made a Forge map in Halo® 3, and set up what his girlfriend of over two years (furtive penguin) thought was going to be a two-on-two match with his friends. They started the game and Moviesign led furtive penguin to a spot where he claimed he'd put an energy sword. Instead there was a nice top-down view where he had spelled out a proposal in weapons. He then asked her to be his teammate for life."

And we thought we were nerds ...

Randomness...

So, did Michigan play football on Saturday? I'm not sure they actually showed up for the game considering the final score. What is up with them this season!?

My wife is a generous person, but sometimes a little too much... she gave me her cold last week and it knocked me out for a couple days... I'm still recovering. I was pretty useless this weekend.  And don't get me wrong, I'm not really blaming my wife ;)

I completed the new xbox 360 game, Bioshock, over the weekend (in my cold-medicated stupor) and it was pretty freakin' cool. No wonder it's getting near-perfect ratings.

I also finished my first Harry Potter book over the weekend.  I hadn't ever had any interest in reading any of them or watching any of the movies until recently.  I was pleasantly surprised... now I see why everyone likes them so much.

Does anybody watch Friday Night Lights?  I got the first season on DVD, and I must say, it's really good.  And, yes, that's all I did this weekend - sit in front of the TV or read books.  I really was useless.

Somtimes somthing "New" isnt always the best choice

I dunno about some of you great video gamers out there..but somtimes dont you feel like when your buying a new gaming system you feel a bit "suckered"?

Just you wait everyone i can just see now......2 to 3 years from now:

"In video game news Nintendo introduces its newest video game system. The Nvolution. With its realese get ready to see some of your favorites on a more bit for your buck including games like:

Super Mario Ghetto Bros 14!! and also the Legend of Zelda Search of the missing Crack..uhm..er.

And also with that note..

(suddently a shadow figure comes out whispering somthing in the news ancher's ear)

What!? Uhm....uh uh uh uhm....My apologies folks i forget Nintendo went bankrupt due to the lack of supplying more "Violent Game titles". I guess the Wii's evolution turned out not to be the franchise solution.

For you diehard Xboxers we are just moments away from stores getting in the second shipment of the

Xbox 1K! Due to its last shipping lacking enough supply, 30 day malfunctions, they will now be providing players  with the optional upgrades such as "G-dubbed" but its still not fooling the crowds from paying more just to own the "XXX edition".

Yet it still seems to not stop the absolutly obsesseed from forming up lines for the chance to own 1 of only 10,000 copies of the Playstation 4 whitch will be realsed in 2 weeks. Playstation 4 with tax shall come up to aproxemtly over a $1,000. It will be at least months or even a year before anymore will be released. Rumors have it that some of these will soon be going on ebay for more then $5,000.

And thats the news....."

To me somtimes somthing being "new" isnt always the best choice to immedeatly buy . I swear man it feels like computer software. First moment you have windows 95, then its 95.5 then 95.10 then..whatever. Its like you gotta own it and say im the man because i've got the best video game system..blah blah blah blah.

Somtimes everyone.....you should take the time and chance to enjoy a system. I felt so suckered whenever Sega Dreamcast came out.I love sega and they make some awesome games but before the system could get games going for it Sega fold. They didnt give it a chance. To me and i know to many of you that owned this system i bet you were mad. The system to me had great potential.

In todays world for video gamming industries its all about the bottom line . "money" and "competion". Better graphics...and well... BETTER GRAPHICS! (Big smile with a thumbs up).

Really now..come on. I feel like its a rat race.

It never hurts to go back into the past and play the games that made some of these systems great successors of today. Go out and find a 8 bit nintendo an atari, sega, super nintendo. They may not have the best graphics like you see in games today...but you also didnt have the worry of pushing soo many buttons and they had more creativity in the gameplay department. With newer systems comming out more quickly it puts many game creators and people who took the time to make these out of a job because they probably dont have the programing education needed for the newer system. So next time you demand a newer system think about all those facts.

To me though i feel like whats the point buying a playstation 3 or Xbox 360 or a Wii. Wasnt just not long ago i got a playstation 2.

Think how much money you spend just to grab it right away..is it worth it?

Then you need to consider this...in 2 years will i still be playing this system..or am i trading it in with all my 4 games i owned from it just for a playstation 4. See the pattern im going with this? Just you wait. Its not long from now so..just enjoy those systems right now because you know the newest gaming system is just around that cornor. Smiley

Feel free to send me your gaming story everyone. Thanks for reading.

(The game news story is just a spoof and not ment to offend any gamers. I love playing video games myself. Just be wise and enjoy the fun of a game and not the focus on buying the newsest system right away)

On a side not check out my blog about the Punch Out video and compare it to the contest winners and see if you notice a "franchise pattern"
