I don't usually do this, but...
Woot
(http://www.woot.com) has a daily deal which I would recommend -- it's the Sandisk Sansa e250 personal "multimedia" player with 2 GB of built in memory and a MicroSD slot for further memory. It plays MP3s and WMA files -- but also displays images and video (albeit on a really, really tiny screen).
I have the 4GB model and I love it. (At home we call it the "faux-pod.") Sansa is a well-known brand, and this item has received plenty of good reviews. It's also quite sturdy; mine has fallen on the floor quite a few times without damage. If you're in the market for an MP3 player only slightly bigger than the iPod Nano and much less expensive -- and you can get by with 2GB -- I'd highly recommend it.
Woot's price is fifty bucks plus $5 shipping. This is really quite impressive -- even for a refurbished unit (with 90 day warranty).
I'm sure it won't last long -- get it if you're interested!
