Stop Globalization! Protest the WTO!
Back in December 1999, the mainstream media covered the protests against the World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting in Seattle, but only the people who were there actually know what happened. The average citizen still doesn't know how big the rallies were, or even what the 40,000 demonstrators were protesting. Sadly most North Americans still have no idea what the WTO is doing to the world....

 The 1999 Seattle WTO protestors called for an end to globalization, the system of global free trade they believe is destroying this planet's environment and the many distinct indigenous cultures in order to feed the markets of modern consumerism.

Do you believe globalization can be stopped? Is that even possible? Battle in Seattle is an ideological war story - this is a new age clash of ideals that brings the population into conflict with authority, and is in this way similar to the fascist movements and communism and socialism in pre World War II Europe. Our perfect democracy is not so perfect and this is the voice looking for change. In Seattle the protests quickly turned violent, as anticipated, and chaos soon enveloped the conference. There's no question that the protesters had the right to protest, however, was violence necessary? This movie shows the stories behind the headlines.

Battle in Seattle was written and directed by Stuart Townsend and stars Woody Harrelson as a tough cop (Dale), Martin Henderson as a protest leader (Jay), Ray Liotta as the mayor of Seattle (Jim Tobin), Connie Nielsen as news reporter (Jean Asbury), Rade Serbedzija (Dr. Maric), Jennifer Carpenter (Sam) and Charlize Theron as a pregnant retail store clerk (Ella). This movie is loosely based on the documentary, which covers the same subject, entitled, This Is What Democracy Looks Like.

The ‘Coin Killer Game’ is an interactive solution to a viral marketing challenge posed by most anticipated release of 2007, the new Coen brothers movie, No Country for Old Men.

This attraction is being hailed as the best piece of filmmaking ever evidenced by the cinematic siblings - its certain to be a ‘must-see’ movie for millions of devoted fans. In this film, a compressed air tank welding villain played by Javier Bardem asks a gas station attendant ‘How much have you ever wagered in a coin toss?’. The same dialogue has been preserved online in the opening frames of the Coin Killer Game.   

 After uploading a personal photo, each visitor must click the ‘flip this coin’ prompt and watch as an American quarter rotates up above the banner, where it disappears… The user is asked to chose ‘Heads or Tails?’

This exciting challenge ends with each visitor ultimately losing the match, and then watching in horror as his or her personal photo becomes a ‘death portrait’.

The game imagines the player's death portrait and simulates what each face would look like after being struck by the villain’s signature weapon. Check out the author’s own face after the gruesome attack.

     

The Coin Killer Game is the next evolution of online marketing; already a facebook widget, this application is almost certain to convey tens of thousands of unique viewers to the No Country for Old Men site before the campaign ends in late November. 

So today I was holding one of the toddlers and he kept rubbing my chest. Then he was running his hand down my cleavage, then a lil poking of my chest. Then he pulled the neck of my shirt out and looked down to kinda check out what was goin' on down there! This is also the same boy that has wood every time I change his diaper. Yes, I know that at that young of an age that erections aren't a sexual response, but the whole thing pieced together is kinda odd.
