This was in a power point presentation titled "The Great Physician". I thought these 10 points to remember were very good so I am going to pass them along.

1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
2. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
3. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
4. Do the math...Count your blessings.
5. Faith is the ability not to panic.
6. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you pray, don't worry.

Appreciated his over all message, to GIVE. Although he may have beat around the bush a bit, he wants people to give. sacrificing self needs, desires, objects and Ideas is something this world needs more than a bunch of selfish people who are unhappy. You recieve much more when you give than you do recieving.

Poetry Challenge has started up again through the great initiative of my friend featherdawn who has kindly offered to do it on her blog.  She showed some photos of the beach, with logs strewn around, and asked us to use these as our theme.  This is what I came up with.  I hope it is presentable.  Please feel free to offer any comments or help as to how it can be improved upon.  Thank you in advance.

WISDOM

 

As grains of sand wend their way through my toes

And breezes cool my sun-parched skin

I am reminded of how swiftly life has flown.

 

Memories take over, reminiscences grow

And I wonder if the best that life has to offer

Has come and I am doomed to dwell in the past.

 

Then I recall how oft much accomplished

Has taken place by individuals matured and

Weathered by the winds of adversity.

 

Having walked through thick, smoldering flames

Of coal, and on ice so thin I’ve delved to the depths,

My uncles dog died yesterday. He really loved that dog and seems a bit lost without him. We all loved the dog but not as much as he. He also says that when my grandmother dies he will go back to jail. I would appreciate it if you would pray for him. That he will find salvation and be ok. And the same for the rest of use as well.

And please pray for Rs son...he is in jail again. And likely to stay there for a bit. Please pray that he will be granted a bit of wisdom and maturity through this.

And for all those folks in the flood areas too. I have some game friends up there and I don't know if they are ok or not yet. I hope so. And I guess we all need prayers for the food prices now days.

I guess thats it for now. I'm feeling a bit sad and not entirely myself. More later probably. Take care.
