Wikipedia @ MindSay
OK, I’m sick and tired to be sick and tired. What is with this mindsay wiki page? What is a wiki page? I figured it would just be some kind of weird link to your own page on wikipedia.com. Guess what? It isn’t. I looks like some stupid extended profile bull that mindsay uses to sell ads. Well I won’t put anything worth advertising on my wiki page out of spite. Spite! This is very similar to how I don’t put anything in my blog worth reading, except I cannot do anything to help myself in that department. But seriously, I don’t know what this wiki business is all about and I really don’t like it. This is because a) I’m not down with learning anything new as it pertains to my ramblings here and b) because I am getting spam on this thing. Spam messages from fake accounts saying they saw your profile and want to be friends. What the hell? I don’t want this crap on mindsay. I already have a myspace account that I have never used and never will but get fake friend requests all the time. I hate that kind of thing. Notice to anyone who likes to fancy themselves a hacker: don’t ever come up to me and say something to the effect like “I create spyware” or “I made that I love you virus a few years back.” You would be in a pool of bodily fluids faster than your little Trojan virus can macro the words that you have no penis. People who spend their time facelessly creating crap that has no use are basically doing so as an extension of their entire lives. They are completely useless, and we would all be better off if you did not exist just to be a nuisance. Imagine if your sole quality in life is being a nuisance. Well that is the existence of the mosquito and the hacker. Way to go people.

I would rather you use conservapedia, with all it's ridiculousness than rejoin the proletariat.
Without naming any names, I've found three common kinds of vandalism. This vandalism is usually fixed before most of us will see it, but it is interesting to see what a certain computer network is up to. Click here to see some examples.
- Wholesale removal of entire paragraphs of critical information. (common for both political figures and corporations)
- White-washing -- replacing negative/neutral adjectives with positive adjectives that mean something similar. (common for political figures)
- Adding negative information to a competitor's page. (common for corporations)
Such as:
Pepsi deletes all long-term health effects
Of course Pepsi doesn't want this stuff known, and powerful corporations tend to go to great lengths to diminish the effects of bad publicity... that's why someone decided to delete all the long-term health effects associated with its product.Republican Party Spills Harry Potter Spoiler
This just goes to show how evil Republicans can be.US Department of Justice/ ATF suggesting Bush stole the 2000 election
Who knows? May be true... haha.dems think Rush is a racist, bigot, jerkoff
Probably true as well.someone in benny hinn ministries with a grudge?
Ditto. While these edits are not necessarily official, nor definite edits from officials on the networks, it is from people with access to the network, which could come with inside access or some intimacy with the associated person/group. It shows the lengths that certain groups of people, in corporations or surrounding a political figure, will go to spread their biases. They want to control what you know about them, or change your perception, rather than changing themselves and proving they are good. Truth is not always a bad thing, and you can always accept the past as unchangeable and embrace the future as a chance to make a positive change.
Then again, some of these things are just in good(?) fun.
I found this article and thought others might find it as interesting as I did. Big Brother is alive and well apparently....whacha think?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - People using CIA and FBI computers have edited entries in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia on topics including the Iraq war and the Guantanamo prison, according to a new tracing program.
The changes may violate Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidelines, a spokeswoman for the site said on Thursday.
The program, WikiScanner, was developed by Virgil Griffith of the Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico and posted this month on a Web site that was quickly overwhelmed with searches.
The program allows users to track the source of computers used to make changes to the popular Internet encyclopedia where anyone can submit and edit entries.
WikiScanner revealed that CIA computers were used to edit an entry on the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. A graphic on casualties was edited to add that many figures were estimated and were not broken down by class.
Another entry on former CIA chief William Colby was edited by CIA computers to expand his career history and discuss the merits of a Vietnam War rural pacification program that he headed.
Aerial and satellite images of the U.S. prison for terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, were removed using a computer traced to the FBI, WikiScanner showed.
CIA spokesman George Little said he could not confirm whether CIA computers were used in the changes, adding that "the agency always expects its computer systems to be used responsibly."
The FBI did not have an immediate response.
Computers at numerous other organizations and companies were found to have been involved in editing articles related to them.
Griffith said he developed WikiScanner "to create minor public relations disasters for companies and organizations I dislike (and) to see what 'interesting organizations' (which I am neutral towards) are up to."
It was not known whether changes were made by an official representative of an agency or company, Griffith said, but it was certain the change was made by someone with access to the organization's network.
It violates Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines for a person with close ties to an issue to contribute to an entry about it, said spokeswoman Sandy Ordonez of the Wikimedia Foundation, Wikipedia's parent organization.
However, she said, "Wikipedia is self-correcting," meaning misleading entries can be quickly revised by another editor. She said Wikimedia welcomed the WikiScanner.
