Hillary Clinton's pastor, the Reverend Dean Snyder, knows Reverend Wright personally, and had this to say about him:
"The Rev. Jeremiah Wright is an outstanding church leader whom I have heard speak a number of times. He has served for decades as a profound voice for justice and inclusion in our society. He has been a vocal critic of the racism, sexism, and homophobia which still tarnish the American dream.
"To evaluate his dynamic ministry on the basis of two or three sound bites does a grave injustice to Dr. Wright, the members of his congregation, and the African-American church, which has been the spiritual refuge of a people that has suffered from discrimination, disadvantage, and violence. Dr. Wright, a member of an integrated denomination, has been an agent of racial reconciliation while proclaiming perceptions and truths uncomfortable for some white people to hear.
"Those of us who are white Americans would do well to listen carefully to Dr. Wright rather than to use a few of his quotes to polarize. This is a critical time in America's history as we seek to repent of our racism. No matter which candidates prevail, let us use this time to listen again to one another and not to distort one another's truth."I think it's interesting to point out that Trinity Church of Christ is an integrated church. Though mostly black, there are white congregation members. Does it seem reasonable to think that white people would go to a church where the black pastor was overtly racist? If Reverend Wright is just as racist as a preacher who is a KKK member, why would the targets of his alleged attacks sit there and take it every Sunday? To believe that would mean that we should find black people in white supremacist churches!
Keep in mind too that the media wasn't up-in-arms about racism. It was his seemingly anti-american sentiments that caused all the trouble. That too is up to debate, as this site has posted larger portions of his sermons containing the "offending" language.
What about things that Revered Wright himself has said?
"The African-centered point of view does not assume superiority, nor does it assume separatism. It assumes Africans speaking for themselves as subjects in history, not objects in history."
Let's compare that statement to a sermon excerpt:
"And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent fairly, she failed. She put them on reservations. When it came to treating her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in internment prison camps. When it came to treating her citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains, the government put them on slave quarters, put them on auction blocks, put them in cotton field, put them in inferior schools, put them in substandard housing, put them in scientific experiments, put them in the lowest paying jobs, put them outside the equal protection of the law, kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness."
Those are all facts, not racism. Notice he never once uses the word "white." On the contrary to what some people are saying, those that are calling Wright racist are victims of white guilt. Nowhere does he accuse white people of causing these social ills, but the government. White guilt is what adds that assumption, even though it clearly isn't there. Moving right along to the actual controversial quote...
The government gives them drugs [referring to the Iran-Contra Affair], built bigger prisons, passes a three strike law, and then wants us to sing God bless America. No, no, no, not God bless America, God damn America, that's in the Bible, for killing innocent people. God damn America, for treating her citizens as less than human. God damn America, as long as she pretends to act like she is God, and she is supreme. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent."
Again, not a single mention of white people. He puts the blame solely on the government where it belongs. Nothing he says is factually incorrect. Here were are calling a man racist merely for pointing out the (factual) instances of governmental oppression against blacks. We're so overly-sensitive that we fill in the blanks, saying that when Wright refers to the government, he really means white people. Balderdash!
The claims that Reverend Wright is a racist is a lie, a fabrication cooked up by the media and their slicing-and-dicing of his words. That's what Obama was trying to tell us. Obama didn't overlook Wright's racism for 20 years, he recognized that there wasn't any racism there to begin with.

I'm sure you understand this all as well as I do. The Jewish people copied Christianity from an old Roman Religion called Mithraism, which holds odd similarity to Christianity...

I never thought it was funny before, but you should hear me laughing now! I'm ROFLing, here. Who would have thought that Jews would want to eliminate the White race, let alone attempt to achieve this by using the media... by only showing black men and white women together, not the other way around. This restriction is apparently the diabolical part of the elaborate plan.

I think I'm going to cry to someone like you tomorrow to save our precious White, non-Jew country. I didn't realize my very special, White way of life was so important to me, but now I see the error of my ways. Even though minorities seem to have it OK according to what you've told me, seeing that they can walk down streets without fear, and have exclusive clubs and organizations... and even though you've made being White seem like such a horrible thing, I see that my inclusion in the superior White race is ultimately the most important asset I could possibly have.
Ok, perhaps I'm just pulling a leg or two. Especially this person's leg. Sir, if I could have a word. You sir, are a racist not because a black man can feel safe walking down a street, but you can't, but because you believe your race is superior to others. This does, in fact, make you a racist, and saying that <insert something> doesn't make you a racist, doesn't mean you aren't. You are not only racist, you are delusional and paranoid as well. What you've put forward here is the symptom of a sick mind, and you just need a hug-- a big interracial group hug.

If you’ve seen the fliers plastered all over campus, or the ads in this newspaper, you’re aware that Sister Souljah, a recording artist, author, producer, and racist whose real name is Lisa Williams, will be the keynote speaker at this weekend’s Multicultural Student Leadership Conference in the Mendenhall Student Center. Was David Duke not available?
What’s next? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressing the next meeting of Hillel? How about Jesse Helms headlining the next B-GLAD event? Neither one makes a whole lot of sense. Equally unfathomable is Sister Souljah keynoting a multicultural leadership conference.
Multiculturalism is defined as the idea that a society, notably one with a high rate of immigration, is enriched by celebrating the separate contributions of its component cultures. To me that means all cultures, and, for better or for worse, that includes we white folk. Yes, we have our bad apples, but for every David Duke, there’s an Abraham Lincoln.
Sister Souljah came to national attention when then presidential candidate Bill Clinton criticized her remarks on race in a May, 1992, Washington Post interview. Souljah was quoted as saying, “If black people kill black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?”
Souljah has also been quoted as saying, “I'm not saying there aren’t any decent white people; I've just never met one.”
Are these the comments of a leader?
To her credit, Sister Souljah has done a lot of good work for homeless and other disadvantaged youth in the black community through camps and other educational programs. She has rallied against racially-motivated crimes—ironic given her remarks against the white race—and police brutality. Such activities are admirable, but is it admirable to sow the seeds of hate as well?
I don’t know whose idea it was to invite Sister Souljah to ECU, but surely someone who truly embraces multiculturalism could have been found. We have many fine professors from all over the world, who are excellent role models, right here on our campus. Probably at least one of them would have been glad to speak if asked.
On her website, Souljah claims that “many people attempt to silence” her “powerful voice” because “a young influential woman who has achieved so much, yet remains down to earth, can be quite intimidating.”
No, but when someone calls for a week-long killing spree of members of your race and is embraced as a leader, it can be a little unsettling.
Remember, Hitler was a leader too.

“Prejudice”
Prejudice has haunted Mankind for millennia. It has justified horrific crimes and resulted in millions of deaths and countless more injustices. The human race has just begun to see itself as one unified race as opposed to competing factions. I have thought long and hard on the subject for a number of reasons and intend on addressing them in this post.
I was raised in a prejudice home. My dad was an alcoholic who hated niggers, liberals and fagots. Hate was not only a family value in my house but was preached at the top of my fathers lungs. I remember countless times when my father would go off on some drunk tangent about the moral majority in America and how gays and niggers failed to live up to his expectations. He was not a criminal or a low life but clearly felt that the vast majority of black people and homosexuals were.
As a young adult I began to question my fathers judgment and started to think for myself. I wanted to defend his opinion but at the same time wanted to defend the people he hated. As a bi-sexual I especially wanted to defend homosexuals which he considered immoral and ridiculous people. I set out on a mission to see things from every perspective and feel I’ve done the best I can to do just that!
Black people are 7 times as likely to commit a murder and 6 times as likely to be murdered than white people are according the Justice Departments website. That is an astounding statistic! The Justice Department website also states that eleven percent of black people are in jail or prison at any given time in this country as opposed to barely two percent of white people. In other words most crimes are committed by black people or other minorities. White people are only a minority when it comes to the prison population.
I’ve heard a lot of white people complain that slavery ended nearly two hundred years ago (which they had nothing to do with) but what they fail to consider is that black people were oppressed and forced into ghetto’s ever since then. It wasn’t until the 1960’s that black people began to be treated as equals! That is within a human lifetime! It should come as no surprise that black people commit more crimes than white people. They’ve been forced into poverty and not allowed to participate in society for the last 150 years! People who aren’t allowed to participate in society or work for a living are essentially forced into a life of crime and criminals breed criminals. Of course, black people commit more crimes! That should be expected but that doesn’t mean it will always be that way!
White people aren‘t nearly as innocent as they‘d like to think. Read any history book and it will tell you how white people took over the world. World history is basically the story about how white people enslaved, massacred, oppressed and displaced virtually every other race on the planet. A lot of white people fail to realize that our success is not necessarily something to be proud of. We did a lot of horrible things to accomplish what we have. It’s not like world history is about what black people did to wrong society. It’s about what white people did and that’s not something we should take lightly.
At the same time white people are responsible for making America what it is. America is the land of opportunity. It doesn’t matter what color you are. You have more opportunity in America than you do anywhere else in the world. Black people have white people to thank for that! If you don’t like the fact that white people are in control of this country then move back to Africa, live in grass huts, eat wild monkeys and die of Aids because that’s what black people are doing in their country. I don’t mean to seem prejudice. I merely want to make a point. A lot of black people want to make excuses for their situation and I don’t think they can living in this country. The years of oppression are behind us and, although slavery is not the point, our current situation is. There is no excuse to continue living a life of crime or trying to get something for nothing. I’m not prejudice but I am realistic. It’s time for black people to hold themselves accountable for who they are and quit blaming their circumstances when their circumstances couldn’t be any better than they are (especially in America)! Grow up and act like any other citizen!
So far as homosexuality is concerned, there are a lot worse sins worth protesting about. Gay people have sex for the exact same reasons straight people do other than to have children. Homosexuality is not the same as promiscuity or unsafe safe sex with multiple partners. Aids started in Africa. Gay people aren’t entirely to blame. There are plenty of responsible, mature, and intelligent homosexuals that do not participate in reckless behavior. Some even believe in God.
A thing is right or wrong for reasons that can be determined. A sin can usually be defined as an action or behavior that brings harm to oneself or another. There are exceptions to the rule which most often involve the greater good or the lesser of two evils. There are also what I call the lesser sins which do not necessarily bring about harm to anyone but are still apart from Gods will (in other words not something we‘ll be doing in Heaven). Homosexuality clearly falls into this last category and should not be compared to other sins that cause far more problems for society. If you want to protest at some poor guys funeral about what’s wrong with America, try protesting about the wide spread violence and addiction that plagues our nation. It makes no sense to single out gays as the worst of the worst! Gay people are anything but that! They’re gay. They’re not to blame for America’s problems!
