Weekend Fun @ MindSay

this weekend so far i (in chronological order):

1.) went on a date.
i wore make up and the whole bit. and she noticed! and it counts as a real date. <3

2.) turned down a party.
i decided that i'm going to stop drinking. which is big for me because i'm really bad at the whole, "don't give in to peer pressure" thing. but i'm going to really try. i didn't want to quit because of April 18, so i drank last weekend thinking it would help me forget. but it just made me think about it more. i hated it. so i plan on stopping.

3.) went bowling with Ashley Bowling.
haha. it was fun. i hung out with a lot of people. and i took a really good picture of myself in Ashley's car.

4.) saw Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
and it really wasn't that great. like, if i didn't read the credits at the beginning, i still would've known that Steven Spielberg worked with George Lucas. it started out really cool and like, ancient artifact-y. but then it just went all E.T. not so great.

5.) got coffee with martinez.
and not only rode in his new el ca-beaner, but DROVE it! man, i felt so butch. it is definitely near the top of my list of times where i've felt most lesbian. haha. wow. but that was fun, i'm not even going to lie. he's been talking about it for months and now i actually know what he's been saying. its like, really tricked out and stuff. i guess. super engine. great air circulation? i don't even know. it's loud and eats gas. and fun to drive. haha.

It looks like a tornado has gone through my room. So I'm cleaning. So much fun. This has basically been an ^{ALL WEEKEND EVENT} (& by all weekend i mean everyday of this _{FOUR DAY WEEKEND} I've been cleaning my room)

 

I've gone through my clothes and got rid of over half of all that shit I've had since ^{FIFTH GRADE!!!} I went through my old papers and got rid of almost all of that shit. And sadly I still have only cleaned about _{A FOURTH} of my room. I still have ^{THREE FOURTHS} to clean today!!

 

It looks like I haven't cleaned my room for about _{SIX OR SEVEN YEARS} It is disgusting. I'm beginning to think this is gonna be more like an ^{ALL MONTH EVENT}

My big plans got changed, when we got back from shopping someone's hubby was home. No cheerleading fun for us. Shopping was fun, we didn't have as much fun as we had planned. At least we played some in the fitting rooms.....

I hope everyone is having a fun weekend. Betty & i are hoping to get together tomorrow while someone is golfing ... we'll see.

 

sorry...i'm just kinda tired. its been 1 loooong weekend. spent all weekend (9:30am sat-10:30pm sun) at mike's parents house. it was a pretty fun weekend though, i'll admit that.

Sat: got to his parents house about 9:30am, went over the Brunswick(his fam church), cleaned/set up for Miss Robinsdale Queen Tea Bruch. left there and hung out with his family. going from the chuch, to manards, walmart, then back to there house, to the Robinsdale sidewalk sale, back to his parents house, to ikea, then drop nickola off at her house. then back to mikes parents house the rest of the night. at about 9pm we went to see HP5 and i'll post another blog about the movie...tomorrow? then back to go to bed.

Sun: got up at 8:30am, headed over to Brunswick (just mike and i), mike's parents were having some people over after the parade, so they didn't come with us. we served the bruch at 12:30pm, got outta there at 3pm (just as the parade started). got backt o mikes parents house and jsut hung out there the rest of the day. at 10pm we left as the fireworks started and finally just got home a few minutes ago.

thats my whole weekend. looks like the same schedual next weekend. later losers.

I am getting that urge that's telling me I need to go somewhere. I rarely ever get to go and spend time away somewhere other than where I currently live. My friends all have relatives close by that they can escape to for a weekend if they are able to. I am left ultimately to my own devices and spending every weekend at home gets vigorously boring after a while. Yes, I know I'm lucky I have a home to go home to every day, don't get me wrong. But spending the vast majority of your evenings alone in a small quiet condo does not foster a lot of enjoyment, at least for me.

So I've felt the need to get out and go somewhere I don't have to sleep in the same bed for a night or two. Enjoy a little variety and a change of perspective. Ah yes, but where to go? Camping would be fun, even if I had to go by myself, and it's much cheaper to do that than just about any other form of traveling, and my current economic state does not allow for much else. Maybe I could pull out a weekend getaway if the weather would cooperate.

Or maybe I should just pray that some opportunity will make itself available to me. You never know; it's happened before.
