After looking through dozens of incredibly awful web comics, I decided to post my favorites. Perhaps then, you can reply with yours and it will be some sort of a great web comic knowledge exchange...or maybe not.

1. Russell's Teapot http://www.russellsteapot.com
This is a great comic for those who like to have a little fun with Christianity's many logical flaws. If I could describe it in the most brief terms, I'd say that it is an atheist Calvin and Hobbes. The main character is Russell, a young boy living in a world surrounding by religious dogmatism. He also talks directly to Jesus, his pal, and often enquires about some of the more difficult-to-grasp aspects of religion. The great thing about it is that it uses humor to promote logical thinking, which is always a plus in my book.

2. Partially Clips http://www.partiallyclips.com
Partially clips consist of three frames of the same image with different captions. High-quality material here.

3. Toothpaste for Dinner http://www.toothpastefordinner.com
Leading the pack in the intentionally-poorly-drawn division is Toothpaste for Dinner.

4. Married to the Sea http://www.marriedtothesea.com
Sort of like Partially Clips, except one single frame and usually of old-timey wood-cut drawings with funny captions added. Made by the same guy who does Toothpaste for Dinner.

Isn't it weird that I exhibited progressively less effort with the item descriptions?

Random Encounters

 

Main Cast List: Updated April 16, 2007

 

 
Cal - 31 year old slacker.  In and out of jobs, a lot, considers him selfa writer/musician.  Actually does have talent if he just applied himself a bit more.  Major gamer on anything that you can put a game in to.  Doesn’t realize his self worth at many times.  Is a Christian.  Currently employed at Bolt tech agency, doing tech work with Zwire who sells DSL modems to PATT home networking.   Lives alone in a small travel trailer.

 

Rob – Don’t call him Robert! His name is Rob.  A few years younger then Cal (29), they’ve been friends sind they were teens.  Because of this there is often a weird sort of short hand that they use, confounding many around them to what was actually said.  His life is a bit more stable then Cal’s: He is the boss of the multimedia side of a local college, inflicting damage where needed and fixing what he has to. He is a Christian and currently married to Jessie and has a 2 year old daughter.  Owns a duplex and used to room with Cal.

 

Ben – Ben is a newer acquisition in Cal’s life; however they have known each other quit a few years now.  Met through his neice, they bought found out quickly there was a bond through table top RPG’s, Videogames, and random violence. He’s a bit older thenCal, but no one could tell by looking at him or even haning out with him for any length of time.  Right now Ben lives in Missouri with his wife and three kids.  He is a Christian.

 

Ronald – Former Marine married to  a Filipina wife. Although a Christina, his volent ways can, at times, get in the way of his good intentions.  He spent time in the marines and uses these skills to his advantage.  A good artist, he spends most of his free time perfecting his 3d Studio max skills or blowing things up in Battlefield: 2142. He has four kids: 3 years old to 14 years old.

 

Douglas – Cal’s older brother.  After getting a divorce early in the centuary, Cal took care of Doug’s  3 children.  Since then Doug has met a woman off the net and moved to a far away town.  Now seen mostly in phone calls and on the net, Doug is going through a rough period in his life.  However he is still a part of Cal’s life and is in communication with him.   Doug has a wife and 4 kids.

Yes these are real people...and one of them is me ;)

I will update the rest of the cast as they start coming in to the comic.
