Wausau @ MindSay

I lied. I am finishing up my REO pictures today and then will move onto the Packers' game. Needless to say, living in the Wausau area is way better than living in the Wisconsin Rapids area due to the amount of entertainment opportunities. Don't get me wrong, I love watching military bands as much as the next guy, but you can listen the same Sousa march only so many times.

 

I am now anxiously counting down the days until October 28th! I have two tickets in hand to see David Crosby and Graham Nash at the Grand!

Here are more of my pictures from REO Speedwagon. There will probably be a total of four or five parts to my pictures from them, but that is unknown for sure.

 

It has been such a long day. Today started five days of staff inservice for Newman Catholic. We started with a Catholic mass and then had a meeting for about five hours. I really am surprised that the church didn't cave in or anything. I think the last time I was in a church and not working there was 2004 when my great grandma died, but that was a Lutheran church -- nothing like Catholic. I don't understand why a Catholic mass is so much up and down. Stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down, kneel, sit down, stand up, kneel, sit down, stand up, leave. Too much work!

After Seether's disappointing performance I was very pleased to see what REO had to offer. You can totally tell that they are having fun. I took tons of pictures at REO, so I will have to post them in multiple entries. Other pictures I will be posting soon include Packers' game at Lambeau Field on August 11th and Billy Currington at Bullshooters Saloon on August 18th.

I pretty well suck at blogging. This summer has gone by so fast! I will work on posting pictures from summer adventures in the next couple days. Today is all about Seether.

 

Honestly, I was not overly impressed by them. First off, they started the show by stating that it was a 'PG' version of a Seether show. That was not a good thing to hear because that screamed "We do not want to be here and the show is going to suck." Ben and I both said that a family setting (the Wisconsin Valley Fair) was not the proper place for Seether to be.

 

I did have a good time at the show although it was obvious that they did not. Tomorrow I hope to post my pictures from REO Speedwagon.

My first full weekend up here in Wausau, my friend Scott took me up to Rib Mountain. Those who know me well, know that Rib Mountain is my favorite and I view it to be a very romantic place. Anyways, here are my pics from when I was up there. The leaves were just starting to turn, but had probably hit their peak during the following week and ended up looking pretty crappy by the following weekend due to rain and wind. Now the leaves on the 'mountain' are mostly yellow and match my car. It looks pretty cool when looking across Lake Wausau at it, but I'm sure it's not as cool from up close...lol
