Video Game Music @ MindSay

My so-called FIRST Video Blog!!!
Security Level: Low (Public / Everybody)

Since I'm always working, and I don't really have too much time to blog here in MindSay. So, I decided to record and create a trailer of my upcoming series of video blogs. I'm typing this entry in a hurry, so I'm sorry if it sucks.

Tell me what you think of the video!!! :)

Can you guess where the music came from?

Most unique Artistic Music Video

I thought I show this video. IT's very interesting on how they did it as well. They probably drew her after she did the  video but I don't know. It's called Heavenly Star, it's a music video off a game called Lumines 2. Lumines is like tetris a bit different but with very interesting music. Of course the point is to clear the game, but in Lumines you clear each stage, you get new music, making it very addicting. It's on PSP of course, they do have one for PS2 coming out as well. But definately take a look at this very interesting video. This is also a very happy video ^_^

This Is How I Got Creative

Now this music video is awesome. I got it from one of my favorite anime movies. Macross Plus. If you wanna see something that infleunce all the crazy stuff that I write this is one of them. The music was extremely good. This is where I fell in love with Yoko Kanno writing the music and singing some parts. Yeah most people won't know her so easily but most of the animes we watch, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain, I love this woman! Not only this, this had some of the crazy and sad fight scenes. Especially when it hits 5:45 in the music video. That's like the slickest fight scene I've ever seen.  The guy is moving so fast that the paint is peeling off the jet and his arms are going into his ribcage because of all the G-Force. Definately take a look at this though. About 8+ minutes, but good video. Movie came out around the time Ghost and Shell first came out. So it's one of the Legendary Animes. One of the first to use CGI as well.

I Miss You...
I thought I give a real taste of some music I listen too. I love Japanese music very much and how they just amaze me what they do. I don't know what to call this song, it's not hip hop,, and not rap too much. I guess R&B Japanese in a way I don't know. But I found this music video with subtitles so you can read what they're saying. Also I've been playing Guitar Hero 2 at work, I just put in a memory card at work so now I'm going through the story mode or whatever to unlock the songs. My favorite songs is Stutter by Kiss, and I can't remember the other song but it's by The Police, something about SOS and bottles and bunch of people with no homes. If anyone can tell me that song name that'll be great. But enjoy this video!

Two of my favorite pastimes, crammed into one, twice!
Okay. Those of you who know me fairly well know that I am both a hardcore gamer nerd, and a music fanatic, particularly leaning toward rock. Well, I think I may have just hit my paradise. I found two bands who take these two loves of mine, and put them together in something I can only describe as "Galektigazoink." Now, you may be thinking, "Hey! That's not a word! you made that up!" My response to you is:

…and that the reason I made that word up, is because there IS no word in the English language that can describe how awesome this music is for me.

…but I digress. The bands are Game Over and The Minibosses (man, their websites need some major work). The Minibosses do rock covers of old-school video game music, while Game Over does the same, but with more of a metal sound to it, along with lyrics that they have written to go with the music.

Go check them out, maybe buy a CD or something, and enjoy. I know I am.

If necessary, I can supply you links to their respective MySpaces so you can easily hear some of their music:

Now excuse me, I have some pants I need to wash.
