Vice President @ MindSay

For the retards...
This is an explanation for the dumb-as-dogshit pundits out there on the left.  Especially you, Chris Matthews.  What was Sarah Palin talking about last night?  Did she plan to create new powers for the vice president.  No, they've been in there the whole time:
The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

The Senate shall chuse their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the Office of President of the United States.
(Article 1, Section 3)
You'd think there was no credible subject on which to criticize her.  Instead of making fun of her for being ill-informed, whip out your constitutions over the ad breaks and do some research.

Women’s Group Condemns NOW Endorsement of Obama

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: newagendapress@yahoo.com

Sept. 19, 2008 - The New Agenda, a non-partisan women's advocacy organization, recognizes the decades of worthy work and achievement by the National Organization for Women. But The New Agenda is concerned that NOW's recent endorsement of Barack Obama leaves many women in this country out in the cold.

This precedent-setting move marks the first time in NOW's 42-year history that it has endorsed an all-male ticket.

Since its founding in 1966, NOW has endorsed only five presidential candidates:

1972     Shirley Chisholm for President
1984     WalterMondale/Geraldine Ferraro for President/Vice President
2003     Carol Moseley Braun for President
2008     Hillary Rodham Clinton for President
2008     Barack Obama/Joseph Biden for President/Vice President

The New Agenda co-founder Amy Siskind says, "We find it quite perplexing that NOW has chosen this moment to endorse an all-male ticket." The endorsement seems all the more puzzling given the fact that the Republican Party is running its first female candidate for Vice-President, Gov. Sarah Palin, and the Green Party is fielding its first all-woman presidential ticket with Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente.

"Women need to stand together and help one another," says Siskind. "Women's issues such as unfair pay, domestic violence, and unpaid leave impact women of all political parties."

The New Agenda is a not-for-profit organization and will not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election.

The group is in talks with representatives from both Senator Obama's and Senator McCain's campaigns about the platform of women's issues it wants to see addressed.

The New Agenda has also requested a meeting with Gov. Sarah Palin to discuss the group's platform.

Jennifer Borg, another co-founder of The New Agenda, says, "We want to give Sarah Palin a chance to tell us what Sarah Palin believes on women's issues."

Governor Palin's teenage daughter's pregnancy
My heart goes out to the Palin family. I'm sure Bristol Palin never expected the news of her pregnancy to be reported on Good Morning America, which is how I heard about it.  As a mother myself, I know very well that you can talk to your kids til you're blue in the face about abstinence and birth control, and you can pray and hope that they remain chaste until marriage, but in the end the decision is theirs.  A teenage pregnancy really has no bearing on whether the teen's parents are good parents or whether they provided enough sex education.  I do think they are making the best of the situation in that Bristol and the father of her baby are planning to get married and keep the baby. This shows that they are being responsible for the results of their actions and not ending their baby's life by abortion simply because it's inconvenient or because it would impact Gov. Palin's political career.

Hey, it's life. Things happen. And as Gov. Palin said on TV this morning, sometimes the greatest blessings come through the unexpected events.

And parenting is not for cowards. Amen.

If I Were John McCain
I'd be really old and I wouldn't be able to brush my own hair. BA-DUMP-BUMP!
But seriously folks, McCain is making rumbling that he'll drop his choice for vice president sometime tonight as a way of stealing some of The Chosen One's thunder when he speaks to his assembled flock in front of a leftover set piece from GLADIATOR. Now if he picks any of the white guys that are being speculated about it is going to go over like a lead balloon and he'll have wasted everyone's time because it won't cause even a blip of excitement.
However, if I were McCain i would make the pick that would set the political world on fire and actually rain on Barry O's coronation. My pick would be Alaska Governor (and former beauty queen) Sarah Palin.

She's kinda hot , huh? In addition to being a looker Palin is also an exciting choice that is more of a "change" politician than Mr. Hopey-Changey himself. Let's count the ways that Palin out Obama's Obama:

Palin has been a whistleblower of ethical violations committed by people in her own party.
She stopped Sen. Ted "Internet Tubes" Stevens wasteful multi-million dollar bridge to nowhere.
She takes a principled stand against the oil industry and in Alaska that means something.
While not an advocate of gay marriage she did sign into law a bill that provides same-ses benefits.
She has whittled away the previous governor's wasteful spending and balanced her state's budget.
She is working on ways to make her state more green.

Now she aint perfect. She's pro-life (but not rabidly so) and she is dealing with an abuse of power investigation by the attorney general.
Long story short she fired the Commissioner of Public Safety for not firing her former brother in law, a state trooper, who threatened her and her father with his gun and tasered his stepson. In the annals of political scandal I consider this one to be barely a footnote.

Palin also comes from a blue-collar background, she was raised doing outdoor activities like huntingk she's a fomrer basketball standout and her oldest son is in the Army and is scheduled to be shipped to Iraq in September.

So in closing, if I were John McCain and I wanted to shock the world with my VP pick, I'd pick the attractive, blue-collar, environment friendly governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. If for no other reason it would completely neuter Joe Biden in the VP debates because you can't be all aggressive with a petite mother of five like you could a Mitt Romney.
