It will be done in like.....20 minutes? Fuck yeah.
I am sick and I have soymilk (chocolate) to be eating. The boys are watching Sons of Anarchy and I have nothing exciting to blog about.

Vegetal dinner

Here's what I had for dinner. I totally made it up, but there are certain things that you can't go wrong with: onion, garlic, bell pepper and cabbage. So.. how about simply putting them all together!?

Stir fry the onion, garlic and bell pepper in some olive oil. Add laurel for taste and safflower for color, then a little bit of salt. Finally, add a 1/4 cup of water and lots of chopped cabbage. Close it and let it the steam boil the cabbage (2 mins at full fire). When the cabbage is beginning to soften, stir everything and cook for 2 more minutes.

If the onion and bell pepper are too sweet, add lemon juice or vinegar, they work as great replacements for salt.

It's really easy to build something from this simple recipe: add mushrooms, add some pasta with a nice tomato sauce with oregano and thyme. Also, try adding some pre-prepared textured soy protein to the initial stir fry.

I find it really hard to feel satisfied when I solely have vegetarian food, but I suppose that's a habit..

Great way to Detox: Body Cleanser Juice
When most people hear about Detoxing, they usually think it's some trick to persuade them to buy a certain brand of Weightloss Pill. Even for that matter, most people don't really know what it means to Detox. Also the word Antioxidant get's thrown around a lot too, simply because companies know people will fall for these sorta gimmicks. But there is a way to Detox, meaning to help your body get rid of excess minerals, vitamins, old damaged blood cells, and all sorts of junk that builds up in your liver, kidneys, and blood.

When I first started drinking this body cleanser I wasn't sure exactly what it was going to do, other than peeing orange for a few days lol. But after three days I immediately noticed that I was increasing my metabolism and I was getting my full days worth of vegetables and fruits without having to eat huge portions of salads and the like. I definitely recommend these to anyone who's a vegetarian, or someone looking to start a new exercise and eating plan.

Body Cleanser:
1 Large Beet (fresh)
* Optional* Beat Leaves
1/2 medium cucumber
1 small handful of fresh parsley
2 celery stalks
1 cup of broccoli with stalk.
1 medium apple of choice
1 cup of large leaf spinach

*You will need a juicer in order to make this. I recommend the Jack Lalanne Juicer as it's rather inexpensive when compared to most juicers out there, not to mention that it's extremely effective. Trust me this thing is actually worth the buy.

When juicing you should always juice your base fruits/veggies first (ones that will take up the bulk of the volume) So start with your apple. Cut it in fours.
Wrap the parsley around two slices and juice them
Wrap the spinach leaves around the other two slices and juice them.
Insert Celery, Cucumber, Broccoli.
Finshing up with the large Beat Last.

This should make approximately 1.5 to 2 cups of juice depending on how big your apples and cucumbers were. Which will make two full servings of your Fruits and Veggies for the day. You can chill the juice in the fridge for a while and 8-10oz makes a single serving.

I also recommend drinking one in the afternoon and one in the evening preferably after a light supper. This way nothing too heavy will sit in your stomach while you sleep. You'll also wakeup hungry for breakfast, which is most definitely the most important meal of the day.

Hopefully you enjoy! Trust me, it's tastes amazing....

Mysterious Letter

Mysterious Letter

My friend's 7-year old daughter Kristen was suddenly (and suspiciously) very eager to check the mailbox when she got home from school the other day and claimed to have "found" this mysterious letter "in the mail."

I have asked my friend (a lawyer married to a lawyer) to give young Kristen (who is coincidentally not a big fan of eating turkey, or any kind of meat) a stern lecture about the wrongs of identity theft and falsifying documents. ;)
