I'm listening to one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands right now, specifically
A Hundred Days Off by
Underworld. (And the album art is awesome, too, no?) As I listen, I recall that it was my brother who clued me in to Underworld's music. I'm fond of this album for it's many levels - it's multitextured music, from head-boppin' to totally chill, a wide range of sound packed into one little album of bliss.
I love to listen to just about any music I can. And
I have a podcast to prove it. It's called
The RuckuS. I release new episodes every week. And each one contains a new recipe. If you stop by
whatistheruckus.com and browse through the blog entries (which, btw, if you click on a title, you can download any episode right to your computer) you'll see just what I mean. Or ask around Mindsay.
This coming weekend, I'm taking a mini-vacation to get in some camping, biking and hiking. As such, there will not be a new episode coming out. I do plan to resume my weekly contingent, however, not this weekend, but next.
I'm also nearing a mini-milestone of sorts...namely episode #25 (last Saturday was #21 of my 'official' episodes). What does this mean? Well, I thought, this would be a great opportunity for a few things!
First, if you've never listened to the show, now's a great chance to try an episode or two. I'll be out of town, after all, you won't be missing a new episode or anything.
Second, if you do listen but have missed a few episodes, now you can catch up! ;)
Third, (and this, I hope, is the fun part) I'd like to get your help for my Episode #25. I'd like you to listen to past episodes of
The RuckuS and then let me know your favorite song(s) and/or artist(s) I've played on the show. Episode #25 will become a collage of listener favorites. And, if I use one of your choices, I'll mention you on the show and say it was YOUR favorite. If you've got a show of you're own (or perhaps you want me to mention your blog?), I'll mention that, too. It'd be the least I could do to thank you for participating.
You may leave suggestions, favorites, comments, and questions right here in the comments box. Or, if you'd prefer to email them to me, send them to
theruckuspodcast@gmail.com. I'm hoping to get a good response - I think it'd be fun to create a "shared" episode like this.
Thanks for your consideration, everyone!
Cheers,
[tR]
