We are the things, the shapes to come.....

 

Well, I just sealed the envelope with the letter to the ANU declining their offer to accept me into a Bachelor in Information Technology. Its almost like closing a door on an oppertunity, except I have a doorstop in another door waiting for me, so it's more like closing a window. Instead of following the aparantly boring stream of IT at uni, I've chosen to study game development. In three years I hope to have a job, creating videogames.

 

I've been neglecting my blog a lot lately, mainly because of laziness and being tired. I've done a lot in the last few weeks. I've moved my PC out of my room and I've been sleeping much better. I'm probably going to spend this weekend modelling and doing 3D stuff. I really need to pick up for the last week as our grade can be altered by it. Apparantly if we do well, we can pull our grades up, and although my grade was good, it wasn't good enough. Unfortunatly ever since I got cut from the scholarship my enthusasim has dropped. I'm not real impressed with myself right now and I plan to spend several weeks after school is out pickingup my skills, especially in terms of the human body, or at least, humanoid. I also plan to do better at texturing. I need to update my wiki with my latest works too. I've done a lot in the few months since the images you see in there. I'll be purging some stuff too, as I don't want the page to be too crowded or slow to load. I might even have more video clips too.

 

I'm also trying to find some 3-way speaker boxes that I can dismantle and put in some much, uhh... larger speakers into. As such I'm very tempted to see if I can change the speakers in ones I currently have as the woofers seem to have gone to the shits for their size. I think it's time to get new ones as midranges are louder then the woofers... oh well.

 

It's been 18 days since my last real update after DofE and I'm not real sure what to update about. I've made plans, I'm fairly solid about for the next two years. I plan to save up over $10,000 over 24 months and have this funny idea that I'll spend most of it on my car. I'm looking at about $8000 worht of upgrades, from the suspension and engine to the exterior, lights and other fun stuff I want to do. It's going to get a removable sunroof in teh back so peopel can stand up, some 10 spotlights, snorkel, an entire suspension replacment, new bigger engine block, larger tyres, external roll bar, roof basket, recovery kit and a couple 2x4 planks of wood which I will hopefully fit under the bonnet for those times when I get uuhhh... sink my car into mud. Eventually when I can afford a fuel system replacment I'll probably upgrade the engine head to a GTI swift. Well, I think it's a better investment then some $4000 stereo system in there, and a shitload more fun too. I'm also looking at getting some minor upgrades for my pc including a new mouse and keyboard, as well as a drawing tablet, new GPU and some more RAM. Of course, that's secondary to the above.

 

Of course, that's what I want, which should fall into my plans somewhere as I'm pretty much stable for work over the next two years, with extra work hopefully during the summer months and study for the next two years. Next week I finish my Cert 4 in 3D Animation for Games and film and spend the next two years getting an Advanced Diploma in Game Development. Maybe in two years, the AIE will have degree's and I'll be able to complete a full degree there. As scuh however, according to pieces of paper, I am the most qualified person out of all my friends. Which is a kinda of weird feeling as out of those who got interest from uni's, I was one of the rejected ones :P.

 

Well considering the size of this ramble, I haven't actually said anything interesting. I had some amusing points I wanted to make today, however I've forgotten them all... MaybeI'll go clean shit as there WAS a whole list for me to do today.... pity I didn't write it down.

I realize of course that i am over a week late in celebrating my two year anniversary with my blog.  This isn't really a surprise, in that i am late in just about everything i do.  I've been trying to categorize all the things that have occurred in the past two years.  Well the reason i am late posting this is because i was so depressed by how little i have done in the time since i started blogging.  Lets ease into it slowly then.  I graduated from college, i have been in 10 fantasy football leagues in two years.  I have written 15 unfinished songs.  I have had 5 jobs.  I have had numerous bad facial hair decisions.  Mario has gone from being single to being an impregnating machine.  Joe has had two girlfriends but they didn't live far enough away from here for him to want to continue the relationships.  He still hasn't finished his mustang but i could be celebrating 20 years of blogging before he finishes that.  People still refuse to get over 9/11.  I moved to Mass and back.  I paid my car off as well as my student loans.  Rob moved out of his trailer and into a legit house.  Way to go pal.  He also received two more mastiffs which pushes his total up to 4.  Combined weight of said dogs has to be around 500 pounds.  Ugh.  I have flown six times in two years.  I have helped create and done more than my fair share to destroy a relationship in two years.  My brother still lives at home.  I started eating meat again.  I have made hundreds of random and uncalled for observations.  I have owned two cell phones.  The best part is i have posted slightly more than once a week.  I could be one of those freaks who post everyday about who they have a crush on, or what they had for breakfast or anything else like that.  Hey lighten up and write about why you think it would be great if women gave birth to puppies instead of kids.  Freaky yes but how much cooler would the world be?  A lot is the answer your tiny brain was searching for.  

The IAAF has banned the Ghanaian male athlete, Aziz Zakari for two years.

 

Zakari was provisionally suspended by the athletics governing body on July 11, 2006 following an adverse analytical finding for the prohibited substance, Stanozolol (S1. Anabolic Agents) in his system after a routine doping test.

 

The test was conducted In-Competition (IC) on April 29, 2006 at the IAAF Grand Prix Meeting in Dakar, Senegal. IAAF spokesman Nick Davies said that analysis of Zakari's backup "B" sample confirmed the original positive finding.

 

Under IAAF rules the minimum sanction for a first violation for Stanozolol is ineligibility for 2 years.

 

Zakari has a career best time of 9.99 seconds in the 100 metres.

Just kidding, but I am 15 today, and apparently the guy in Born Loser has my same birthday, which sucks because I don't really like that comic. For my party, I'm just gonna have Steve over, but we'll have fun, we've always enjoyed ourselves. Yays, now I'm finally the age your average freshman should be. However, it's a bit late, as I'm a sophmore right now.
