Jaunt for Josh
The "Jaunt for Josh" is a fundraising event which supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association in their efforts in the treatment and cure of the 43 different muscular and neuromuscular diseases covered by MDA.
The "Jaunt" began in 1989 when the Lutheran Youth Organization of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church sponsored the first "Jaunt," naming it in honor of, my cousin, Joshua Schmidt, a member of Trinity who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Since that first "Jaunt" over $125,000 has been raised by the supporters of the "Jaunt."
This year, WNY celebrates the 18th Annual "Jaunt for Josh" which is set for June 17, 2006. You can walk or bike several routes through the countryside of Newstead. After the "Jaunt" enjoy a complimentary lunch on the church grounds. Incentive prizes will be awarded to those who raise funds $50 or more.
Your efforts really make a lifetime of defference to someone with Muscular Dystrophy. Please be a part of this year's

Paricipants may choose from several different ways to "Jaunt:"
Note: All participants must check in 15 minutes prior to start time.
WALK: 9.3 mile (15K) begin at 9:00am
or 3.1 mile (5K) begin at 10:00am
BIKE: 18.6 mile (30K) begin at 10:15am,
9.3 mile (15K) begin at 10:15am or 3.1 mile (5K) begin at 10:15am

Fill out a Registration/Waiver form and mail it today to: MDA, 5500 Main St, suite 343, Williamsville, NY 14221
All participants are asked to help raise funds for MDA and can use the pledge form for donations that is attached to the Waiver.
