Treat @ MindSay

As a treat we stopped into Paciugo Italian Gelato & Cafe. There were so many flavors and styles of treat to choose from. It was tough choosing just one.

I finally decided on a espresso & Amarena Frizzante. According to their site the Amarena Frizzante is a "rich and decadent Black Cherry Swirl blended with the classic San Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water. Luxuriously rich in flavors but incredibly light on your tongue."

The capital peaks through the high buildings as the sun sets slowly.
I hope I can go back again soon. That sure was a fun day and I'm glad I could share a small window into it.
I was re-reading some old entries of mine, particularly the ones of AIM conversations between me and my ex. It's disgusts me that I ever let a man treat me that way.
I won't ever tolerate that again.
Yesterday was a Halloween extravaganza! We started our day out at about 1PM and didn't return home until around 9! It was a long day but oh such fun! The first couple of pictures were taken at home before we went on our annual trick or treat through the junction. It is so much fun to walk through the junction and look at all of the kids and some adults in their costumes. We didn't actually take any photo's while trick or treating rather saving the photo ops for the pumpkin prowl at the zoo. Man, what a great time that was! The decorations were fabulous to say the least, perfect for parents with little ones as everything was pretty tame but none the less cool! I am having to rush to get these photo's up as we are getting ready to attend a costume/birthday party for our Nephew Forrest and I will have many more to post later from that!
Man, I had forgotten how much I love Halloween! October has always been my favorite Month, and not just because it also happens to be my Birthday month. The leaves change color and begin falling, and everything in autumn becomes beautiful. The Zoo last night was definitely a reflection of that. There were pumpkins everywhere the eye could see,a color changing tree, they had acrobats, a lady in full costume and on stilts(see the photo's above it was so cool!), a magic show, many stands set up for trick or treating...just a ton of great things for the kids. I was really impressed that they didn't just hand out the usual candy but lot's of organic and nutritious treats for the kids, they even gave out toothpaste! How great is that? I think my parents and Matt and I had just as much fun as Jack did. The first pic of the 3 of us was taken waiting in line to get into the Prowl. The anticipation was killing Jack! They had this great swampy pond set up with pumpkins, a fake gator, fog, etc. I tried to get some good pictures but it was beginning to get dark....Jack was so good throughout the day, it was amazing especially since we ended the evening eating our Favorite Chinese Food at Wah-Kuh and he was the perfect little Gentleman with great manners to boot! Boy that was a delightful surprise after the long day he had! And surprise, surprise he was still up at he crack of dawn ready to do it all over again! Will post more pics of the party tonight but I've gotta go get ready! Boo! Happy Halloween Everyone!
The large calico animal who does my bidding and feeds me when I ask stayed home last night. Good thing too because I was getting tired of entertaining myself all alone. when she is around it's alot more fun and usually ends up in more treats. For example when she goes up that climbing ramp after dark I know the fun is about to begin. I have taught her the neatest tricks. She hides little pieces of dry meat all over several rooms and thinks I am going to have to hunt for them once its dark. How stupid. I follow her around and watch each spot where she tosses the bits and later at my leisure go collect them, and she is so predictable. window sills, my play tunnel, counter tops near that big water holder that makes whirring noises everytime she gets in. She hides the treat container in the top part of that white box but I am working on a way to get in there so I dont have to keep asking her for them.
And I encouraged her to make more of those dangle hair scrunchies by going beserk whenever she whips it threw the air. Now there is one in almost every room and just with a little wiggle of my tushie I can get her to pick one up and wag it around so I can chase it and gnaw on the knots.
But she is sorta sweet. and i love her smell and have taught her all the places i like to be touched and the places i hate. she learns pretty quickly. Yeah I will keep her.
Last night we started a new game where I lay on my back and she presses my back feet while i stare at her. I don't know why she loves it but she murmurs softly, rubs my cheeks and gives me more treats so I put up with it.
They left the door open this time after the rooms got dark I must admit I got lonely in that big place all alone and climbed back onto her bed to sleep with her anyway. I would snuggle up to that larger balding animal too but he moves alot at night and I keep having to move over. I have trained the smaller calico to curve herself right around me to keep me warm.
It's quiet now and I think she is going to start clicking those sticks with the pink fluff so I had better go and see if I can help her unravel that big fluffy ball. meow.
Well I have a couple free postings going on for my dog in the area. And then I had a Eureka moment. I am very picky about who takes any of my animals........pets or those I have raised to breed. And I know this doesn't prevent sick assholes from getting a hold of animals even with how stringent I am with my questions.....but I am probably more indepth then even the SPCA or Humane Soceities when it comes to my fur babies!
Last month or so, we went up to Liberal KS to the pet store. Which by the way I LOVED! A very friendly and loving atmospher not only for pets but ppl! I thought well hell........I dont' want to give her to an animal shelter if nobody down here is willing to take her because they are freaks and scared of rots and not pits. You would think they would be scared of both! I called them this morning........told them what is going on with the landlord and what happened. The OWNER which we meet is willing to take her if her roommate says okay. They live out in the country and have cats; to many to count she said, and 5 dogs; one of them being a rottie/lab mix, and a vareity of other animals. She also has children. Which is ideal for Kirien! Kids and other animals and a large enough area for her to be running. She would be on a chain occasionally which is fine because that is what her situation up in NE was. Chained occasionally and able to roam free.
I explained that we just don't have enough room, the landlord's son in law teased her to the point where he has his wife and hte landlord convienced she is a mean dog and what happened last night. And the owner of the pet store was just as outraged as I am and even said when we get our own place and I want a new dog she would give me one from the store! I explained about the kid like behavor of the piddling when she is in side and how you have to cut her off of water at a certain time and make sure she potties and how she gets very excited to see ppl and does like to jump but won't hurt anyone. I also explained how she is very protective of all kids not just hers and that if she feels someone is threatening any kids she will put herself between the child and the person she feels threatened by until the parent can show up. She loves sleeping in the bed with ya and will steal your pillows. And if you do have her inside at night and share your bed with someone that you must have a pillow and a blanket on the ground next to the person she bonds with so she can sleep next to them. She gets along with even small dogs and cats. But not overly long haired cats because she thinks they are something to eat then! She handles a leash really well. That we give our own boosters and that she is due for them actually past due. She is fixed and in Febuary due for her rabies shot. I barely take my animals to the vet unless sick or needed. I have her on multi vitiamins and occasionally give her a treat of a raw steak. She travels very well in vechiles also. No accidents and she perfers sitting next to the person she bonded with or laying on the kids:D
I am hoping beyond hope that Nonie can take her because if she does, I know that she is going to be with someone who LOVES animals, has the space for her, and even said I could come visit my fur baby anytime I wanted.
So please please keep my fur baby in yoru thoughts so I can get her in a good home!
