Transmission @ MindSay

Stuck in Kansas!!!

Well this post should have been done on my parent's comp in NE while we were waiting for phone and dsl.......but instead it is being done in Great Bend KS!

We rolled through the portion of the town we needed, saw no restuarants easily got to, checked the gas gaged and kept rolling through town.  Randy flashed his lights at me.  It was about 6pm.  I pulled over and he pulled behind me and he was cursing majorally!

His transmission line was leaking like a stuck pig! First he tried tightinging the seal where it was leaking.  That didn't work.  Then he took my truck, the kids and I stayed in the big truck and he ran back into Great Bend for some things.  He tried fixing the truck with a few redneck tricks and they didn't work!  Of course not!  So I jumped back in my truck went running into town found a hotel and went back and got everyone to the hotel.

Randy got his transmisison line off last night, we snuck the  birds into the hotel and the cats were very well insulated in their carriers in the truck.  Towels in their kennals, and lots of blanekts and bags of clothes around them.  We took turns checking on them last night even in the middle of the night.  They are good but very pist off.  They are getting major treats when we get to granny's house!  I will give them a bit of a treat when i feed them this morning and clean out their kennals.  I would be pist also even if i was in the Cab insulated fromt he cold!

The kdis and I are getting the sniffles of course.  So far this move has sucked but neither Randy or I are out right irritated.  This is an easy fix in truth as long as he can find one part to fix the sealer.  Perferrably the whole line but that might not happen becuase it is one of those fixes that the dealer likes to carry themselves.  Randy can always just jimmy rig a sealer to get us home!

The parental units know where we are at and my mom is preparing an extra kitty box and some cans of tuna for my kitty's since she knows they are going to be very very pissy and had to spend the night in the truck.  We have a ways to go yet and now we are just waiting on stores to open!

Where's that posiitve energy at folks:P  ehhehehe.  Seriously if you can please send us some so we can get this truck fixed with lil problems and back on the road before the snow is suppose to hit.  Thanks:D

God I love manual transmissions!

Exactly what the title says.

They're so much more fun to drive, and they challenge you, and if you die at a stoplight you start that car right back up and drive that biotch XD

God I love my car :D

"...and on the 6th day, God created manual transmissions, and drove his VTEC balls-to-the-wall, and said to Himself, 'This is very good.'"

stuff

Been a while. Oh well, I've never really been good at keeping an active blog moving.

Finally started practicing on stick. I suck. By the time I'm roadworthy ther'll be nothing left of the clutch. I've been inside used transmissions enough before to see what happens to a poor guys' clutch.

Randomus.com is now no longer only in english, but also services Japanese. Randomus Japan is still in production, however many of the pages themselves have already undergone translation. It's time consuming. I have to cross referance my translations with Spikey to be sure I'm not saying something wrong. Right now I'm subbing all our movies. I won't even bother with the videos. There's not enough dialauge in the videos to worry about. I may or may not translate the titles of stuffs. I don't know.

I'm going camping tomorrow. Not that i don't like camping and/or the lifeless deserts of the reserves, but it's not really how I'd prefer to spend my spring break. Especially since I won't be there with any of my friends...particularly my female friends. *Sigh*.

Sixteen. I can date now right? Wrong. My parents won't let me drive at all except to practice until I finish my Eagle Project. My goal is that by the end of the month, all of it will be taken care of. I am confident I can get as far as finishing up the actual work, but then there's all the aproval crap again and i really, really, realy really realy realy don't want to go through that again. Squaw Peak/Bridal Vale Falls Boy Scout District Eagle lady is a...uh....well, she's not a feminist, but that's what I'm going to call her. Why am I going to call her that? The answer lies at the bottom of the Book of Quotes page on Randomus. The term feminist is another stepping stone I use towards a less profaine tongue.

To get the okay to even start working on the project took three years. I started this project when I was thirteen. I put in all the actual hours of service in between this time last year and now. The whole rest of the time was trying to get appointments, correct writup flaws, modify project details, and then sit through hour after hour of this lady from the District Eagle Board critiquing my project to death. You know, I really don't think the freezing, starving children of Uzbemonibannanastan really care that I paid for the Krispy Kreme refreshments for the activity out of my own pocket. Good gravy!

My fear is that I will have a repeat of that this time around. Only this time if she doesn't like something, I don't get to tweak it, I get to screw it. I get to start all over with the project from square one. I have a running total of 80ish hours put into this. I only have until I'm eighteen, and I really don't want to wait that long to become an Eagle Scout. After all, I CANT DRIVE UNTIL I AM ONE!!!

So that's where I'm at. Done ranting, now panting. So here's the plan:

Step 1: Finish Eagle

Step 2: Learn Stick

Step 4: Finish paying off my Mazda

Step 5: Pull up to her house unexpectedly, and pick her up. We've got a pocket full of nickles and time to kill.

What, a guy can dream can't he?

Poll! Isn't it exciting?! XD

So, I'm trying to decide how much I want to sell my old car for, here's all the info on it, it's a white 1993 Eclipse, with 130,000 on the motor and body, body's in okay shape, not the best to say the least, and the motor has severe lifter tick, and is soon to be running on 3 cylinders, and the transmission slips from gear to gear, and I have no 4th gear....Tires are brand new though, Eagle and Sumitomo :D

I was thinking 500-800$, what do you think?

I have a guy with cash in hand who wants it for 500$
