The Phantom Of The Opera @ MindSay

After ten years i've seen it again.  It's brilliant.  I love it.  You have to be so thankful for beautiful music.  A friend said that in an interview Anthony Warlow said that after ten years he plays the phantom much more comfortably this time.  I agree.  I was so drawn into the performance.  At times i could feel the phantom's pain and loneliness.  The tone of his voice had such sadness at times.

The effects were great, especially at the end with the phantom disappearing behind the chair, leaving the mask behind.  The costumes as well were magnificent.

I woke up this morning and the songs were still in my mind.  The music is so captivating.  My favourite part lasts only a few seconds but it's a single violin that plays just before Christine Daae sings Wishing you were somehow here.  It's intoxicating.

When Gaston Leroux wrote the original novel - which i'm halfway through now - he based it on a true story.  A French opera house with a labyrinth of cellars and a subterranean lake at its base had some unusual manifestations and events taking place.  The people there devised the concept of a ghost, but further research indicated a man of flesh and blood lived in the cellars and was responsible.  He lived as a phantom would.  Christine Daae really was kidnapped; the Vicomte de Chagny really disappeared and his older brother, Count Phillipe, was found dead on the bank of the lake.

ugh okay saturday morning at about 9:30 mum woke me up and said fluffers had moved her kittens to the neighbors. So I got up and went outside to see the 3 that were left... she took Keiko and Akuma... 2 of my favorites... UGH FUCK why'd she have to take mine?! So... I stayed with the remaining 3 and made sure she didn't try to take them... Stayed out there for about an hour and a half... then we took the kitties inside and put them in a box in my room. Such little cuties ^.^ I was so mad... ugh... because I REALLY wanted Chelsea and Asic to see them and they were coming over later that day to see them and... yeah... great timing, cat. Er... Chelsea got to my house at like 1. We were going to do tie dye but I guess we didn't get around to it? I was still pretty busy... running sort of late because of the kitty thing. She made some bracelets with my beads... eMoXcOrE bracelets! Well Asic got to mah house at like... 3:45? ish somewhere around there. He saw the kitties lol then we argued about which color his nails should be. He picked the ugly ones! haha so it wasn't really HIS choice. I put like... green, red, pink, blue, and goldish. Not as good as rainbow tho... I think I did a horrible job. The nailpolish is all... goopy and yucky and sticky so it didn't go on very well. I made this page full of animals I drew... and lmao they weren't very good! I made him guess what they were... and for ever one he guessed right, he got a bracelet. I made (and Chelsea too) 44 bracelets... lol I got sort of carried away. Oh then I put on Asic's makeup. Chelsea got the left eye and I got the right. Hers was like... pink, then purple, then pink and pink underneath his eye, and mine was black then pink then black and black underneath his eye with shimmery white shadow all over it... I'd say I did a pretty good job! Asic looks good with makeup. Lol then.. he did MY makeup... and gosh it freaked me out having Asic put things on my eyelid... so close to my eyes... and since my eyes were shut I didn't know what the hell was going on so yeah... it just freaks me out a little bit. I put on eyeliner myself since... I don't like other people putting pencils in my eye... haha I'm a bit paranoid. Erm then... ahem we went to Will's room to watch Phantom of the Opera and BAG there was dog poo in his room and it smelled so damn bad... not to mention the joint by his bed so yeah... blah. Well I liked the movie alot more than I thought I would. Asic's like... gotten me into all the opera sort of stuff. It was a very romantic movie :-D. Well Asic's stepbrother came to pick him up but the movie wasn't over yet. Will knew Tyler so they were talking in the doorway so gah I threw stuff at them and told them to go play outside... they wouldn't shut up I was missing out on the movie! So yeah... once they started talking and stuff I started talking and ruined the end of the movie! bah I couldn't concentrate after that and I wouldn't shut up -embarassed look- heh... kept talking... bah! Anyways... then Asic thought I was confused but I just missed part of it when Tyler came in... er okay where was I...After the movie we hid in the basement and made animal sounds to try to get them to come downstairs... when they didn't... Chelsea did a fake fall down the stairs and yelled "oh, oh god somebody help me! heeeeeeeeellllllllllllllppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I cant get up!" and it a good fake fall. Well we got bored of hiding so we went outside... then went on the balcony and looked at them through the window and made animal noises... lol when Will got up we ran down the strairs and hid on the trampoline. He came out and yelled into the darkness something about mind games lol. Then he started to come downstairs with Tyler so we hid UNDERNEATH the trampoline. When they came up to it... he said something else about our little "mind games" and Tyler kept calling us weird and asking if we were on crack. I was an otter and Asic was a goldfish. Supposedly I was a "vicious otter" because I grabbed Asic's legs. It was fun... too much happened to write about it all... we went back to my room... and I repainted Asic's nails because the sharpie from his hair wore off on them. I have him some of my nail polish... blues, purples, and black. And lol I gave him some shiny purple lipgloss... I don't really know when he'd wear it? Way too... purple. I gave him a hug before he left :-D Awkward but progressive. I'm glad... hes so short lol its so cute.

Chelsea spent the night. God, I just don't know... it wasn't very fun... we have drifted apart sort of... we just don't do much. She did alot of complaining though... always saying she hated something or something was stupid. Oi... anyways... aw lol I talked to Asic last night and he said he wanted to sing me the song from the phantom of the opera when they were on the roof... so sweet, so sweet. Said all through the roof part he wanted to hold my hand... but he was afraid I wouldn't want to and he didn't want to force me.. of course I wanted to! I believe in taking things slow though. Woke up at 2 today... Chelsea left at four. Then I did homework... then ate... then watched TV. Been working on this entery for quite a while... I felt sort of bad yesterday. I felt like me and Asic were leaving Chelsea out... when theres three people, someone always gets left out. ugh. She didn't want to be there, I just know it... I'm a terrible person. I got mad and hit a wall yesterday but sort of missed and hit the middle of my forearm... hurt so frikin bad... made a bump and swelled up and eventually made a bruise. Thatll teach me to hit walls... gah it still hurts. And its right on the part of your arm where you usually rest of edges of tables and desks and such so... bah.
