Border War

No, not the US and Mexico. I'm talking about the free state versus the slave state. Kansas versus Missouri.

Kansas defeated Missouri by a score of 80-77 on Monday night. I was only able to watch the second half of this great game. The fearless freshman, Sherron Collins, led the Jayhawks down the stretch. He scored a career-high 23 points. He hit some clutch three-pointers and scored on a few drives to the basket. He is going to be a great player for KU.

KU improves to 3-0 in the conference season while the lowly Tigers drop to 0-4. Part two of the Border War will be played in February. Kansas now leads Missouri 163-93 in the series.

Kansas is tied for first place with Texas A&M in the Big XII. KU will face Texas Tech on Saturday.
