A

few days after the first televised Presidential candidate debates (sic) a couple paragraphs of disdain appeared here. I was disappointed at the networks and with Youtube's policy of forbidding any posting of the debates there. Well good news! The Tube has partnered with CNN to create something they are calling CitizenTube.
Here is how they describe it:

This summer and fall, YouTube, CNN and a few engaged and engaging citizens will make political history by having the presidential candidates answer questions submitted via YouTube videos.

The first debate will feature the Democratic candidates on July 23rd in Charleston, South Carolina. Submit your question for the Democrats between June 14 and July 22 (the earlier the better). The CNN political team will choose the most creative and compelling videos, and if yours is one of them, you may get the chance to fly to Charleston to watch the debate live and offer your reactions afterward on YouTube's political video blog, Citizentube.
So if you've always wanted your voice to be heard, now's your chance -- grab a camera and get rolling.

W

hile this experiment is prone to being overwhelmed and editorialized, I think it is something any geek-politico will want to participate in.

OK, Pablo

K

ellogs announced today that if will begin to cut back on advertisement for its popular sugary cereals like Frosted Flakes during children's television programming. This is being done in an effort to appease health   groups under the guise that it will have an effect on child obesity and bad eating habits in general. But I have to ask: When was the last time you saw a six-year-old shopping for groceries at your local supermarket? Kids become obese because their parents set a bad example of eating habits and exercise.

S

o a decade from now when all the money and media attention thrown at the problem have proven to be of no effect and being fat is referred to as "cellulite retention", maybe then Tony the Tiger can run for President.

The Presidents trip was a pageant of disdain, delusion and provocation masquerading as a respite from his troubles at home.

Montana and Bradshaw Skip Over Money?

When the NFL unveiled its MVPs from the previous 39 Super Bowls, only three living members skipped the ceremony.

Former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw decided to stay home, while former Dolphins MVP Jake Scott was traveling in Australia.

Montana, the league's only three-time Super Bowl MVP, turned down the invitation over money, Newsday and the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Montana, however, told ESPN2's Cold Pizza last week that he wasn't going to be at the game because his son had an important basketball game he wanted to attend.

Bradshaw, who told league officials that he wanted to be with his family, also took issue with the fees, the Chronicle reported. Bradshaw, through a representative, denied the Chronicle's report that there was a dispute over money.

Former MVPs were given $1,000 for incidental expenses while in Detroit, along with other amenities such as plane tickets, car rental and game tickets.

Sources told each paper that Montana asked for a guarantee of at least $100,000 in appearance money.

When the league balked at Montana's demands, the quarterback declined to be in attendance.
