Stepping Up SUCKS...

Today marked the beginning of the Stepping Up programme at college.
As I expected, it was pretty shite. I'm hoping it gets better in a few days...

We started off in tutorial, marking rooms and times down on our timetables.
Then we were given a practice Key Skills exam. Our real one is on Wednesday. They're just simple ticky-boxes on a computer screen.

Our practice one was on paper - and we were only given 1/3 of the time that we'd normally be given - 20 minutes, as opposed to the hour for the real one.

I was the only one who finished all of the questions. You needed 20 marks to pass and I got 35.
I doesn't think I'm going to fail Key Skills like. :P

That's providing I finish off my portfolio.
I did a bit of work on it today - I got about 3/4 of my Powerpoint finished. I'll finish it tomorrow, and make a start on my shitty Excel task.

Lewis and I got stressed with Key Skills, so we sauntered out of college early. Nobody knew. And I'm willing to bet, we weren't the only ones who did. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I got home, I found a packet of defrosted sausages on the worktop. I did them in the grill and ate seven of them in sandwiches. I gave the rest to mam.

I then proceeded with my cheaty technique for completing the "play 30 hours of Brawls" and the "play 50 hours of Brawls" challenge on SSBB.
I've read that if you set up a brawl with 4 players - the time is multiplied by 4. So I plugged in two GameCube controllers and connected two Wii remotes and set up a few hour-long brawls.

While that was running, I swapped the scart leads over and played Mario Power Tennis on the GameCube.
I've completed the GBA one, so I'm going to complete the GC one next. I don't have a lot left to do - I have one doubles tournament left and I have to unlock all of the star characters.

I'm not going to beat all the tournaments with everyone - it's a pointless chore. Once you've beaten them once, it's completed, I'd say. Star characters yes - they're vital unlockables.

With that being said, I'm still winning about 100+ tournaments.
I'm also not bothering with the special games. I've finished some of them, but some are just so tedious and dodgy, I can't be chewed with the hassle. :)

RESTLESSSSSSSSSSS...

Even if I had a "restless" smiley in mind, I couldn't use it.
MindSay is now being a cunt when it comes to smileys.
I can't update my blog on Internet Explorer - let alone copy smileys - and Firefox refuses to show them.
Every time I want to use a smiley for my "currently feels", I have to copy it from editing a old blog.

Basically if I want a smiley, I have the choice of feeling 'depressed', 'neutral', 'content', 'tired', 'weird', 'bored', 'angry' and a few others.

I feel so fucking restless today though.
I'm in that mood where there's a ton of stuff I WANT to do, but I just can't be arsed doing anything.
I'm bored to the point where I get agitated and start biting the skin of my thumbs. One of them even started bleeding.
I also feel like just falling asleep, but I'm not tired enough to.
Quite an odd emotion to describe, is restlessness.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At my nana's today, she gave me this BEASTY cornflake cake.
I thought it was a few in one packet, but it was actually one massive one - about 6 inches in diamater.
I ate it all, and it was yummy. :)

When I got home, I had an odd urge to play through Mario Power Tennis: Advance Tour.
I continued on from my old save, though. I have to get out of the habit of deleting stuff.

I'm addicted to my Backloggery.
With all this free time, I'm seeing how much I can get completed.
I went through it all today and re-wrote some of my notes, adjusted some game statuses and added in a few games that I've missed out.

It looks so funny the way I've written: "I'm yet to play this game..." - on so many of them. :)

Allsportrating President Develops Athlete Rating Formula

Aime Pelatan, President of Allsportrating.com and Joe Francis, Vice President, are founders of Allsportrating.com. They started Allsportrating.com to provide an athlete rating formula for amateur and professional athletes. Allsportrating.com has an office in Orange, TX. The latest web site was published in the spring of 2007. Allsportrating president, Aime Pelatan, was contacted by coaches, sport agents, and sport recruiters to create an athlete rating formula.

Mr. Pelatan wanted to give the average athlete an opportunity to participate in sports. Athletes can feature themselves with personal information, personal resume, statistics, photo gallery, messaging system, peer rating, three action performance videos, personal photo, personal athlete rating, and personal URL. An athlete rating gives amateur and professional athletes a chance to participate in sports, get noticed by coaches, sport owners, and researched by recruiters. Allsportrating.com offers a free website for athletes and teams.

Athletes around the world have an opportunity to receive a free web site. After completing an athlete profile the athlete can be featured and receive international exposure.

Allsportrating.com gives athletes an edge with an athlete rating in their field of sports. The athlete rating is a great way for athletes to promote themselves. Athletes will have a better opportunity for scholarships. Teams and schools can manage their team and showcase all the athletes. Coaches have a search tool that allows them to search for athletes geographically by sport and position. Professional team owners can search for prospective athletes.

Joe Francis has been interviewed by Joe Kazmar with the local newspaper, County Record. Aime Pelatan has been interviewed by Fox Sports. The interviews have been submitted for blogs and websites.

Anime just don't fall from the sky, ya know! Except...
Security Level: Low (Public / Everybody)

A couple of days ago, I had a little conversation with my sister's boyfriend about Initial:D. I asked him if he knows about it and he mentioned that he has 'em, from First Stage to Third Stage, up to and including the Battle Stage and Extra Stage. I asked if I can copy them and he was cool with it.

Just a few minutes ago, my sister called out my name while I was in my bedroom. I opened the door and my sister's boyfriend handed me a CD case full of burned CD's (seriously, it's like a 100 CD / DVD wallet). He said, "Here you go, Initial D should be in here somewhere."
"Whoa dude! What else is in here?" I inquired,

"I don't remember, all kinds of stuff; Gundam Seed, Shaman King, I dunno, just check it out, you'll see..." he replied.

"Is it cool if I copy all of them?"

"Yeah man, take your time and check them out. Copy what you like."
And soon thereafter, he left the house with my sister.

So I closed my bedroom door and opened up the case. Enclosed was a 83 of CD-Rs, which means each CD should have at the most 700MB of anime. Just by the writings on the CDs, I never even heard of some of these. Here's what the case includes:

Groove Adventure Rave
(Episodes 01-51)

The Prince of Tennis
(Episodes 01-72...?)

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
(Episodes 01-22...?)

Get Backers
(Episodes 01-19...?)

Initial:D
(1st Stage: Acts 01-26 | 2nd Stage: Acts 01-13, 3rd Stage, Battle Stage and Extra Stage)

Trigun
(Episodes 01-26)

Kiddy Grade
(Episodes 01 - 24)

Shaman King
(Episodes 01-64)

Whoever said "Anime: Crack is Cheaper" just might be mistaken, especially when you have connection.

But here's the thing, some of the anime listed here, I'm not sure if I should even copy them.  If you know anything about any of these shows and you have any opinion on it whatsoever, please let me know.  Which ones do you suggest that I copy or not copy?

Firsty came from my love, Uyoku!!!  Thanks baby, I love you!

Venus Williams wins Wimbledon
Wimbledon final has been played after a fortnight of upsets over the top seeds. The Williams' sisters have once again stepped up when in counts - in Grand Slam competition. Some detractors see this as a sleight on the quality of women's tennis - that someone who pays more attention to fashion and media opportunities can turn-up to a major competition and still make the final and win.

The Telegraph (UK) argues that this supports why women should not get equal pay as men's tennis. Their argument reflecting not only the discrepancy in number of sets played, but how difficult it is to win the respective championships. The latter being highly subjective.

In the corporate world, there is never any argument that the intensity of work/labour is in direct proportion to the amount of earnings. In fact it is quite the opposite. In the corporate world, he/she who works "SMARTER" rather than harder, is the one earning the big dollars.

Venus and Serena Williams exhibit, what I consider, a healthy belief that their life can be balanced between success on the court and off the court. They believe they can win without tormenting their body with week after week on the tour. That is smart and those who object could perhaps look at their own belief patterns to ask themselves, why is it wrong? What do you think?
