I think I have solved my blogging woes. I got an account at Ping.fm, which posts to multiple sites at once. I'll have to try it out: it doesn't seem to have tagging capabilities, so I guess I'll still have to go in and edit posts later), and it doesn't cover some of my sites (Gaia Online comes to mind), but it will make posting less daunting.
And, of course, my setting it up would not be complete without getting an account at nearly every one of the sites they support. I'll get those URL's to you later: I need to go to bed.

I hath been taggéd!

Ten things odd or quirky about me that you might not know? This could be a stretch because some of us have been blog-buddies for four years (give or take) so I'll dig deep and see what I can find.

1)  I don't like tomatoes but I really enjoy tomato soup. 

2)  When I am sick or injured, I talk very encouragingly to myself and tell myself how well I am doing.

3)  I don't like hugs.

4)  Being in a crowd freaks me out; being in front of one is exhilarating.

5)  I lapse into Elizabethan English at the drop of a hat, kerchief, or even a quizzical expression.

6)  I don't enjoy small children. 

7)  I will probably never seek help for my chronic insomnia because I LIKE being up when everyone else is sleeping.

8)  I ignore "stay away from windows" storm warnings when my children aren't home because storms are exciting.  I was almost struck by lightning once ( I could taste the ozone; the bolt was less than three feet from me) and found the rush to be incredible.

9) Love histories, cannot abide biographies.

10) I tend to seek the worst in every situation so that I am prepared for it.  Yet, people generally consider me to be optimistic.

Favourite Season: Spring. I was born in May and it will always be my favorite month.
Favourite Icecream: Boysenberry Sorbet -- Little blue said that. I think I like it, too.

Current Surroundings: Office. Sunshiney. Small son half-dressed.

Current Annoyances:  Still fuming over the guy at the toll booth who wouldn't tell me where I was going when I said I didn't know where the bridge went.  How rude!

Current Thoughts: "But CR, I don't WANNA go outside..."

FIRSTS:

First Best Friend: "Tina the Braided One" when I was maybe three or four.

First Crush: Andrew in Kindergarten. Oh, and Christian in Kindergarten.  Shame on me.

First Movie: A drive in. Bedknobs and Broomsticks? Maybe?
First Lie: I honestly do not remember.

First Music: The Batman theme song from the 60's. "Batmaaaannnn (dunna dunna dunna dunna) Batmaaannnn!" Repeat.

 

LASTS:

Last Drink: COKE!  On ice. 

Last Phone Call: Spousal Unit, telling me about his latest customer funny.

Last CD played: I haven't played any in AGES, but the last tune on iTunes was Celtic Interlude from Sons of Somerled.

HAVE YOU EVER:

Have you ever dated one of your best friends:  He wasn't my best friend when I dated him, but he is now. :)

Have you ever broken the law: I stole a roadblock once. Didn't get arrested, though. I was 17, so the statute of limitations has definitely run out.  I later returned the roadblock and never got in trouble.
Have you ever been arrested: Never. 

Have you ever been on TV:  Yes.

Have you ever kissed someone you don't know: No, but I was jumped in school once by a guy who kissed me.  That was before I learned self-defense.

THINGS:

5 things you are good at:  taking someone's eyeballs out with my thumbs, writing amusing accounts of nonamusing days, roasting fowl, pretending to fit in if I have to, and rubbing my stomach, patting my head, walking, and chewing gum all at the same time.
 

4 things you did today:  posted, went to the neurologist, went to the river, had an adventure with CR in which I found a second-hand kids' clothing store. 

3 things you can hear right now: Cartoon Ranger playing just outside the office, air conditioners all over the area, the overhead fans.

Okay...

here's the story.

I entered the recent photo contest for Mindsay [and congrats to foreverknight  :), she is friggin awesome], and I wanted to see the other entries that entered, and the way that Adam and Brian had said it, was to make the tag "photo contest".

The rules/regulations are here as per Brian's Blog.
There were 5 people who entered it that way-- which was correct, but since one of the other people, who are on my list entered it wrong.

Now... he thinks he did not, but he did.

Please clarify me if I am wrong if this is how to properly tag the words photo contest

1. when you enter the words photo contest into the tags box, under the subject line, the way you type it in is like this: "photo contest", to place a quotation around both words, because you want it to be one tag BECAUSE when tagged correctly, it will send you here

2. when you enter the words photo contest into the tags box, under the subject line, the way you type it in is like this: photo contest-- with no quotations, because the end result of this would be two seperate tags.BECAUSE when tagged incorrectly, you get two different tags which are here and here

ALSO....

does everyone here on MindSay know this... that you need to have quotations on more than one word if you want it to be one full tag?
