new cafepress shop.

Take a look at this shop that sells merchandise for the NJ Coalition for Vaccination Choice. I set up the shop last night and the designs are all original. The prices aren't marked up at all - they are the base prices for the products determined by cafe press.

Homeland Security & Are You American Indian?

For those of you who have never heard of the Iroquois here are a few links if interested.

The Haudenosaunee

"The combined leadership of the Nations is known as the Haudenosaunee. It should be noted that "Haudenosaunee" is the term that the people use to refer to themselves. The word "Iroquois" has two potential origins. First, the Haudenosaunee often ended their oratory with the phrase "hiro kone"; "hiro" which translates as "I have spoken", "kone" which can be translated several ways, the most common being "in joy", "in sorrow", or "in truth". "Hiro kone" to the French encountering the Haudenosaunee would sound like "Iroquois", pronounced iʁokwa in French. An alternate possible origin of the name Iroquois is reputed to come from a French version of a Huron (Wyandot) name—considered an insult—meaning "Black Snakes." The Iroquois were enemies of the Huron and the Algonquin, who were allied with the French, due to their rivalry in the fur trade. Haudenosaunee means "People of the Long House." The term is said to have been introduced by The Great Peacemaker at the time of the formation of the Confederacy. It implies that the Nations of the confederacy should live together as families in the same longhouse. Symbolically, the Seneca were the guardians of the western door of the "tribal long house," and the Mohawk were the guardians of the eastern door."

Haudenosaunee: People Building a Long House

Please note the feathers in the headdresses. Each nation has their own particular amount that signifies their tribe. Since I am adopted I have not been able to determine much more than I am Iroquois, although I have been adopted into the Tuscarora Turtle Clan by dear friends of mine.

This last site is unbelieveable, you can actually hear sound samples and read words of the Confederacy languages. As a people and as a whole the numbers are lessening, however there are many like me, people of mixed ancestry. Since I was adopted it's a little different for me, I've spent a long time finding my way home.

And finally just one more site~ this one has many different Anerican Indian tribes and languages listed on it. I'm rather curious to know how many Mindsayers are Indian or part Indian... If you are please post a comment and let me know~

T-Shirts

I've had this sudden urge to want to make t-shirts. Just simple ones with text on them but never the less, I want to make t-shirts. Preferable black t-shirts with white writing on them, hwoever previous experience has shown me that it dosn't work so well with iron-on transfers. They tend to crack and slowly fade away, unlike professionally made t-shirts that stay for years.

Is there any other way to do it am I just not knowing how to do it right?

You know, they have pills for that...

*looks around* I'm trying to find another roll of black duct tape... I swear I have at least one and a half rolls left... I have a roll I didn't even unwrap.  That one is probably in my car, which I can't go to because Beth has a client downstairs... man I really can't wait to move out.  I'm going to apply for the apartment I want on... Tuesday, because the office there is only open Tuesdays and Thursdays for very limited hours, and today is a day I need to spend on packing and cleaning and stuff... Tuesday is a good day to go because I can sleep in the afternoon that day.  I never see Sal on Tuesday's because he has Scouts!

Next Tuesday he'll be wearing his full class A uniform, even the socks so if you live in Lutz show up at the scout hut to take pictures!

Wheee! Speaking of Scouts, Sal-face you better send that letter/talk to your dad about the other guy, and I KNOW you can read this again, 'cause you were looking at it last night don't lie to me... *cuddle cuddle cuddle*

I'm sappy with Sal... heh... if you know me, that isn't my usual...

I just realized I haven't done laundry in over a week and I still have plenty of clean t-shirts... a whole closet full of them. Perhaps this is proof that I really didn't need that Choco Cat t-shirt I wanted so badly at the mall (I didn't buy it)

Whoa... I counted just now and I happen to own 37 t-shirts... yeah... that means that I could go over a month without washing shirts, and I'd still be ok.  That's pretty scary.  I guess I really didn't need that shirt at all... I also own seven hoodies, five sweaters, five long sleeve shirts, three corsets... and I don't know how many pairs of pants... this is after I cleaned out my stuff and got rid of clothing I hate/never wear/ doesn't fit me... I guess this is what happens when you stay the same size (roughly) for... umm... seven years eh?  There was a period of around a year, maybe 18 months in the middle where I was heavier but uh... other than that I haven't really grown since I was around eleven.  Oh and by the way, in that count of t-shirts I didn't include the shirts I wear when I work out, because I don't count them as real clothing.  I have a week supply of those also...

The best part of all this is that I hate shopping, spending money, and trying on clothes... where the hell did I get all this stuff?
